Therefore, the purpose of undermining the Kakhovskaya HPP by the Russians becomes obvious. Thus, taking into account their own losses and limited reserves, thereby understanding the inability to restrain the Ukrainian offensive in various directions, the command of the Russian occupying forces decided to "narrow" the possible geography of active actions of the Armed Forces.

The undermining of the Kakhovskaya HPP was apparently carried out with the aim of preventing an offensive by the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson direction and releasing the necessary reserves for their transfer to the Zaporizhzhia and Bakhmut directions.

Also, by destroying the Kakhovskaya HPP, the Russian leadership is trying to divert part of the forces and resources of the Defense Forces of Ukraine to eliminate the man-made disaster, thereby making it impossible to liberate the occupied territories on the left bank of the Kherson region.

Ukraine returned 95 prisoners home.

These are soldiers of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and border guards.

There are 93 privates and sergeants, as well as 2 officers.
