Tips To Keep The Virtue Of Purity


1 . Shun bad companions.

2. Do not pamper your body with dainty food.

3. Keep busy.

4. Pray often.

5. Go frequently to the sacraments, especially confession.

Don Bosco, in another occasion, explained more fully the five rules :

1. Have a filial trust in Our Lady; confide in her, rely in her. It has never being heard that anyone trusted in Mary in vain. She will shield you against the devil's assault.

2. As soon as you become aware of temptation, busy yourself with something. Idleness and modesty can't go together. In overcoming idleness, you will overcome temptations against purity.

3. Frequently kiss your medal and crucifix; bless yourself with lively faith and say, "Jesus, Mary, Joseph, help me to save my soul!" More than anything else, these three names terrify and vanquish the devil.

4. If temptation persists, pray to Mary as the Church teaches us: Hail Mary, Mother of God, pray for me, a sinner."

5. Do not pamper your body; guard your senses, especially your eyes. Above all, avoid bad reading. If a book, indifferent in itself, should upset you, put it away. Willingly read good books, preferably those which treat of Mary and of the Blessed Sacrament.

6. Avoid bad companions. Go with good boys, those you know they are praised for their conduct by your superiors. Mingle with them willingly. Play with them and try to imitate their speech, diligence, and piety.
7. Go to confession and Communicate as often as your confessor allows, and when you can, visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Heavenly Father, I come before You today as a humble servant, seeking Your strength and protection as I engage in the ministry of deliverance. I ask that You cover me with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, shielding me from all forms of evil, darkness, and deception.

Lord, I put on the full armor of God, so that I can stand against the schemes of the enemy. I gird myself with the belt of truth, knowing that Your Word is the foundation of my faith. I put on the breastplate of righteousness, seeking to walk in Your ways and remain in right standing with You. I ready my feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace, eager to share Your love and truth with those who are bound by the enemy's chains.

I take up the shield of faith, knowing that it will extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. I place upon my head the helmet of salvation, securing my identity as a child of God and an heir to Your kingdom. Lastly, I wield the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word, enabling me to effectively engage in spiritual warfare and to set the captives free.

Send Your Holy Spirit to guide and empower me, providing discernment and spiritual authority as I minister to those in need of deliverance. Surround me with Your heavenly host, dispatching guardian angels to protect me and assist in the battle against darkness.

In every moment, keep my heart and mind focused on You, Lord, and grant me the wisdom, humility, and courage to carry out the work You have called me to do. I pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Deliverer and Redeemer. Amen.

O Mary Magdalene, beloved disciple of Jesus Christ,
We come before you with humble hearts,
Seeking your intercession and guidance.

You who have experienced the healing power of Christ,
And have been forgiven of your sins,
Teach us to be open to His love and mercy,
And to seek His forgiveness with contrite hearts.

Help us to follow in your footsteps,
As you spread the Good News of Christ's resurrection,
And ministered to those in need.

Mary Magdalene, pray for us,
That we may be faithful disciples of our Lord,
And always strive to live in His grace and love.

Dear God,

I come before you today with a humble and grateful heart. I offer myself to you completely, with all my strengths and weaknesses, my joys and sorrows, my hopes and fears. I recognize that everything I have and everything I am comes from you, and I want to use all that I have for your glory.

Please help me to surrender my will to yours and to seek your guidance and direction in all that I do. May I always be mindful of your presence in my life and may I never lose sight of your love and mercy.

Thank you for the gift of life and for the countless blessings you have bestowed upon me. I pray that I may serve you faithfully and honorably all the days of my life.

Heavenly Father,

As we contemplate the life and example of St. Sister Faustina, we ask for your grace and guidance. We are grateful for her devotion to you and her tireless efforts to spread the message of your divine mercy.

St. Sister Faustina, you showed us the power of prayer and the importance of trust in God. You lived a life of humility and selflessness, always seeking to do God's will and to help others. Your faith in God's mercy was unshakable, and you spent your life sharing that message with others.

We pray that you intercede for us and help us to learn from your example. May we grow in our own faith and trust in God's mercy, and may we share that message with those around us. Help us to live lives of true discipleship, always seeking to do God's will and to serve others with love and compassion.

St. Sister Faustina, we ask that you pray for our intentions and needs, especially (mention your intention here). We trust in your intercession and in God's mercy, and we lift up all of our cares and concerns to you.

We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, your beloved Son, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
