Can’t find your coins ❤️❤️ after the new EVM update for the main network? 🧐
You might have noticed your balance isn’t where you expected, don’t worry - it’s there, just on a different tab, go to
XFI Console and check if you have an “Old Address” button available!
If your wallet was created before
the network upgrade to EVM part, you will have two addresses, new and old, this is due to different encryption in Cosmos and EVM parts.
Important points to keep in mind about the old and new address: 📔
📌 All your funds that were there before the network upgrade will be at the old address.
📌 The new address of your mx1 wallet will be different from the old one.
📌 If you accidentally transfer funds to the old address, it's okay, they will arrive there and you will be able to manage them as usual.
If you didn’t have a wallet with us before the EVM upgrade, you will only have the new address available, but there won’t be any “New Address” and “Old Address” buttons on your interface.
How do I use my coins that are on “Old Address”? 🪙
The top part of the old address shows coins balance and indicates the address itself. To be able to make transactions, you should transfer your coins to the new balance first. Select the coin and press the “Send” button.
This is important to note that all the previously delegated funds will keep staking and generating rewards on an old address unless you decide to unbond them (it takes up to 15 days to unbond MPX on the main network) and then move the stake to your new address.
Send to a new address: 📤
When sending coins, your old and new addresses will be automatically filled in. The commission is charged in MPX coins. All you have to do is to click “Send” and all coins will be sent to the new address.
If there are no MPX coins on your old address, you can always transfer them to it. You can also purchase MPX here on the official website:
https://get.crossfi.org/get-mpx Where are my past staking delegations? 💰
At the bottom of the old address there is a list of your validators if you delegated MPX to them before the network upgrade and a list of transactions.
Rebond, Unbond and Claim transactions are available at the old address. The Bond transaction is
only available at the new address.
