Pavel Durov has filed an application to obtain the .gram domain extension.

The news is definitely positive. However, there’s an important nuance: the process of obtaining such a domain extension is extremely lengthy. The process roughly looks like this:

Application → public disclosure → reviews/objections → technical and organizational evaluation → possible domain dispute → contract with ICANN → technical onboarding → DNS delegation.

In this round, applications were accepted until August 12, 2026. So Durov clearly made the deadline, given that he has already announced it.

The entire process can take 1.5–3 years from application to actual use of .gram. In an ideal scenario, it could be somewhat faster (as little as 9 months), but a lot of things would have to go perfectly:

There are no competing applicants for .gram
No objections are filed
All technical checks are passed
The necessary documents are signed quickly after approval
Onboarding and DNS delegation proceed quickly

My feeling is that a realistic window would be 2027–2028. Only then could .gram domains be fully launched.

Essentially, usernames would become these domains.

But what happens to .ton domains then... My condolences to those who were buying them. The chances of making a profit are getting smaller and smaller.

You previously showed some great support with reactions to this post on ⚡️ Tonus, so I finally got around to looking into it as well.

So, lately, LLMs (what many people simply call AI) have been on everyone’s radar. These days, if a product doesn’t mention AI somewhere, it almost feels like it has neither innovation nor relevance. And without those, attracting investment naturally becomes harder.

Entrepreneurs, investors, and Durov himself understand this. That’s exactly why concepts like Agentic Wallets and various development tools are already starting to emerge — including Actions.

🤖I’ve also gone pretty deep into agentic development in 2026. It’s just way too profitable and fun. Development genuinely feels gamified now. Which, by the way, is often exactly why my posts end up being delayed 😏 And now the flu has joined the party as well.

🤔 Anyway, recently I came across an interesting GG collection.

Essentially, it’s a set of SBTs connected to various bots. Activity around it started as early as April 8. I haven’t seen anyone actively promoting it, but it looks a lot like a testing ground for developing AI agents inside Telegram.

One SBT in particular caught my attention: it has a very nice domain, almost no views (there were only 7 when I checked), and high-quality animation in Telegram’s signature style.

Later, I found it in the official sticker pack.

By the way, getting it into this post turned out to be much harder than it might seem. So this post definitely deserves a like 😏

Searching through the wallets associated with it didn’t reveal anything particularly interesting. For those who are curious, here’s the list:

The bot itself is still closed for now, and there’s only a single post in its group. I’d be glad if anyone could dig up more information. For now, though, all of this looks very much like a test environment for preparing the next steps of mTONga. There are simply too many indirect signs pointing in that direction.
Especially considering that Telegram is still noticeably behind when it comes to LLM integration, and this kind of development direction would be very timely right now.

I was genuinely surprised by the MRKT team. Not because of how they handled the exploit—that part actually looked pretty reasonable. They locked the assets → investigated the incident → compensated over $600k → and then unlocked everything.

ℹ️ What caught me off guard was their decision to shut down the sticker and in-game item marketplace. Yes, the NFT market is nowhere near as hyped as it used to be. But Telegram Gifts have also been stagnating. I could understand putting expansion plans on hold, but shutting down an already functioning product feels like an odd move. Then again, it might simply be an attempt to reduce risks—avoiding another exploit and the additional costs of compensation and development.

🤔 At the same time, it's hard to say the sticker market isn't evolving at all. I recently came across a fresh example proving otherwise. And as for Telegram Gifts, I personally think they're being driven almost entirely by expectations that Pavel Durov will buy them back again. Whether people admit it or not, that's the biggest catalyst right now. Though, to be fair, it's a stronger narrative than almost anything else out there. 😏

🤝 As for the endless debates about marketplace fees: whether it's 0%, 2%, or even 5%, those are perfectly reasonable fees for a service like this, especially considering all the associated risks. At the end of the day, it's up to the platform owner to decide what commission to charge.

‼️ Important: If you've ever used MRKT, make sure to log in and withdraw your stickers and in-game items. It'll only take a minute, and you might find assets worth a decent amount of GRAM. Otherwise, they'll simply be lost.

While mTONga remains relatively quiet, other services have started taking the lead when it comes to community activities.

They've launched a trading competition with a $5,000 prize pool. It actually looks quite attractive, especially given the current state of the TON ecosystem. The concept is simple:

▫️ Every 50 GRAM 😏 in volume = 1 ticket

🤔 A huge part of the activity revolves around futures trading. And futures are where most people lose money. Sure, the reward pool is impressive, but so is the number of participants competing for it. In the end, the risk-to-reward ratio doesn't look nearly as attractive.
That said, Max is extremely bullish on it, and his squad is currently among the top performers. I joined his squad myself — it's definitely better than being in a small one. Sometimes it makes sense to unite.

👀 Personally, I'm leaning more toward DTrade right now. The prize pool is smaller, but so is the competition. That means it's much easier to secure a decent position. And the lack of additional incentives tied to futures trading is a huge advantage in my book.

Looking at the market right now, I don't see much reason for optimism.

🚀 SpaceX is set to go public tomorrow. This company could absorb liquidity from many risk assets. A lot of people may be willing to sell crypto, stocks, and other investments just to get a piece of this unicorn. On top of that, NASDAQ has reportedly adjusted its rules to allow SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI to join the index. The same index that could later drive hundreds of millions of dollars in purchases through funds and ETFs.

ℹ️ It feels like the IPOs of these three companies could mark the peak of the current AI hype cycle and inflated valuations. Once such a massive amount of shares is distributed among investors and funds, the market may cool off for a while.

➡️ Crypto is also facing pressure from other factors. Trump still hasn't resolved the conflict with Iran, despite regularly making headlines with statements that move the markets. He's also mentioning Cuba more and more often. Meanwhile, China continues its activities around Taiwan. And, of course, the war in Ukraine still doesn't appear close to ending.

👉 There's also the seasonal factor. During the summer, people tend to think more about vacations than pumps and investments. Of course, that's not always the case, but historically summer has often been a quieter period for crypto. Overall, this creates a rather bearish backdrop for the market.

🤔 As for GRAM (formerly TON), I don't see any strong reasons for a major rally without a full-fledged altseason. Although it should perform better than Bitcoin. Yes, there may be short-term moves driven by the ticker change and other news, but those are likely to be temporary. However, by the end of the year, mTONga may start showing results. By then, the market might also remember Gateway.

Exactly 5 years ago, the TON testnet (then called NewTON) became the main network 🔥

ℹ️ Back then, many developers received a pleasant bonus. Their testnet tokens suddenly gained real value. The history of Pavel Durov’s Gram coin began even earlier, but May 26 is generally considered TON’s birthday.

➡️ This year, TF was finally removed, and Durov has now directly linked himself and Telegram to TON. No matter how you look at it, this seems positive:

▫️ Fewer unnecessary expenses
▫️ A more recognizable public figure at the helm
▫️ Direct involvement of Telegram and Durov, without intermediaries

By the way, it's a bit surprising that Durov himself didn't mention this date in his channel today. I considered delaying this post until he posted something, but I don't want to postpone it any longer. Besides, the Redo release was postponed as well.

🤔 Will TON experience a full-fledged bull run? A lot depends on the broader altcoin season across the crypto market. If it truly begins, Durov will likely become much more active too. For now, it's clear that the infrastructure is gradually being improved and prepared for higher activity levels. The key challenge is attracting new users. Because without people, any blockchain means very little.

TON is coming back to life - and not just for regular TON users

👉 In just one week, three major stories made waves:

🎭 PepekTON scam. The presale raised around $44k. Only half of it was added to liquidity. The rest was withdrawn directly through an exchange service. Not everyone received their tokens, and the listing launched at roughly -10x compared to the entry price. The admins deleted chats and posts afterward. TON Newbie covered the story in detail (one, two), and zicelaqo even launched a small investigation into the case.

🏪 GetGems and fake USDT. A scammer was sending offers containing counterfeit USDT tokens that the marketplace identified as legitimate. Victims still haven't been compensated. The platform remains in contact with users but isn't ready to provide reimbursements, placing the blame on user inattention - even though distinguishing the fake tokens was practically impossible.

🔓 TAC hack for $2.5M. A wallet funded through FixedFloat managed to withdraw $2.5 million from a cross-chain bridge. Fortunately, the story ended relatively well: the hacker returned the funds and kept 10% as a bounty.

➡️ And these were only the biggest incidents. There were plenty of smaller ones too. Personally, my favorite was the case where scammers got scammed 😏

ℹ️ I think there are several reasons behind all this.

▫️ One of them is the recent release of Action, a new development toolkit in TON. The barrier to building and testing smart contracts has dropped dramatically. The process looks something like this:

More tools → more developers → more contracts → more attacks → more security work → better products.

That's a normal growth cycle.

▫️ The second reason is simple: there's more money flowing through TON again. Scammers always follow liquidity. In a strange way, the rise in scams and attacks is actually a sign that capital is returning to the ecosystem.

🤔 In the long run, I think this will produce positive results. Hacks will push teams toward more serious audits. Scams will make the community more vigilant. And tools like Action will attract more capable developers who can help fix the weaknesses and improve the ecosystem.

Positive developments in progress

ℹ️ Back in late 2025, I saw news that several new developers had joined TON Core. At the time, it wasn’t entirely clear what exactly they were working on. Now the results are becoming visible: blockchain acceleration and a whole set of tools aimed at simplifying smart contract development.

The new product Action (built on top of TolkFmt) added:
▫️ Debugger
▫️ Skills for LLMs
▫️ A wide набор of basic tests
▫️ Various code generators
I also noticed a TON MCP section on the website.

🤔 This significantly lowers the entry barrier for new developers. And considering the capabilities of Claude Code and other AI tools, the process becomes even easier. Lately, I’ve been actively using agent-based development myself. If I consider “vibecoding” to be a rather weak approach with questionable output quality, then agent development already delivers genuinely solid results. Yes, mistakes and hallucinations still happen, so the output absolutely needs verification and testing. But the overall level is already quite serious. It feels like working with an incredibly fast junior-middle developer: unbelievably well-read, yet maximally distracted 😏

➡️ By the way, a funny story happened recently. A 13-year-old school student managed to find a bug in TON without deeply understanding how the system actually works. He simply stumbled upon the vulnerability while probing the code through an LLM. In the end, he earned around $4k. At that age, that’s genuinely life-changing money. After that, the number of poorly reviewed bug bounty requests sharply increased, and TON Core even released a 'https://t.me/lh_crypto1/11620?comment=51689' rel='nofollow'>warning reminding users to properly prepare and verify reports before submitting them.

👉 Overall, all of this looks pretty encouraging. I really want to believe that Durov is actually capable of playing the long game and that mTONga won’t turn into yet another short sprint lasting only a couple of weeks or months.

While the number of views on Durov’s posts keeps skyrocketing (from 2M to 13M+ already), he decided to monetize that attention.

ℹ️ And he chose probably the most straightforward niche possible: casinos. Right inside TG. The announced RTP = 97%. Which means that in the long run, Telegram/Durov will earn around 3% of turnover on average, while players will, accordingly, lose.

🤔 The gambling feature is only available starting from level 5 (the one upgraded through gifts). Withdrawals are limited to gifts and channels only. So in reality, Durov is in an even better position. Yes, it’s вполне possible that early users will get bonuses or manage to profit at the start. But globally, that doesn’t really change the core idea. Personally, I think it’s quite a controversial move reputation-wise. Though financially, it’ll probably be extremely successful. Especially now, when economic times are rough. In periods like this, casinos and pawnshops usually thrive. Existing casino owners will probably also take a hit to profits, since the audience remains the same while a new casino has entered the market — one with built-in marketing cheats. 👉 This won’t be the 4th step… right? Right? The only hope is that at least part of these funds will genuinely go toward developing TON/TG. So far, that’s the only positive scenario I see here. By the way, TG is already preparing to release an AI-powered smart contract development environment and agent wallets. But that’s a completely different story for a separate post 😉

Based on the fact that another 20 million TON was added today to the Telegram wallet, it seems the appetite for creating validators may not be satisfied yet.

ℹ️ TG has already deployed around 40 validators and could deploy just as many more. Durov positions this as an attempt to prevent a potential takeover of the network. After all, players are already appearing on the horizon who could start massively buying up TON for new validators. Well, that’s all according to Durov himself 😏

But even if pseudo-whales enter the market, it’s still a plus for regular users anyway. Meanwhile, more and more tokens in the TON ecosystem are starting to pump. Pavel Durov has dissolved TON Foundation. Now TON will be managed directly through Telegram.

🤔 Looks like the intuition wasn’t wrong — real changes might be coming. Durov also emphasized a stronger focus on the technological side of TON. Apparently, the “shield” that existed since the GRAM days is no longer needed. With pressure from U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission easing, it opens the door for more direct management and aggressive продвижение TON as a brand and product.

ℹ️ The market reaction was quite telling. People started buying TON, and the price moved up — about +6% just on the news. A major governing body changed, yet the price didn’t drop — it increased. That says a lot about the накопившееся dissatisfaction toward the Foundation. Hopefully, Dima is still around 👀

👉 Personally, this looks like a clearly positive shift. This might be the so-called 3rd step of mTONga. Now it’s about execution (likely within 3–4 weeks) and the announcement of the next phase. It also seems like Durov’s path has diverged from Vavilova’s, which could mean more focus, time, and motivation directed at building. For the ecosystem, that’s likely a good thing.

🤔 At the same time, stickers have probably already evolved into TG gifts. We’re already seeing their integration into Telegram and further development. It’s unlikely that Durov will like direct competition. Still, the tool itself looks useful for the ecosystem, especially during market growth. 👉 The key is that stickers shouldn’t stay in a “waiting/hope for Telegram integration” mode. Creators need to give them additional utility. Without extra use cases, the value of images will clearly be very short-term. The collections that add unique features will be the ones that gain value. Today, the Not Pixel team, together with Notcoin, is launching a new season in Pixel World

ℹ️ Essentially, this is the first collaboration of its kind. Players will have a chance to test their PvP skills under new conditions. Less than an hour left until the sticker mint from Wen Lambo?

ℹ️ I already covered the benefits and use cases earlier (also gave away some WL there). Now, to boost demand, the devs added 2 extra contests:

▫️ If you collect 20 packs — you’ll get a guaranteed unique in-game set. Also, 10 sets will be raffled among those who mint 3+ stickers.

▫️ The top-10 by number of minted stickers will share 5000 TON.

➡️ Personally, I’m planning to grab 2–3 stickers. Feels like a reasonable move — going big doesn’t make much sense. To попасть в топ-10, you’ll likely need 10+ stickers (≈250 TON+). So 3 looks like a balanced approach.

ℹ️ If you’re playing — they’ll give a small boost. The full set gives a noticeable advantage, but buying 20 × 25 TON is pretty questionable at current prices. It makes more sense if the price drops. Essentially, the built-in LAMBO + this factor will define floor support.

🤔 My expectations: after the hype, they likely won’t trade below 10 TON.
If price is around 10 TON, collecting a set would cost 200 TON — slightly cheaper than buying a rare set in-game (230 TON).
Most likely range: 10–20 TON, unless part of the supply gets burned.
But markets are markets — there’s also a chance they go above floor.
If price pumps hard, I’ll definitely sell part of my stack.
📊 My 1-month estimate:
▫️ 15% — around 10 TON
▫️ 45% — 10–25 TON
▫️ 25% — 25–35 TON
▫️ 15% — above 35 TON

UPD: To get the set, you must mint 20 stickers from primary sale only.
That’s 250 TON + 350 TON = 600 TON total — pretty heavy for current market conditions. Not sure many will go for it. Also reduces floor support — now mostly driven by embedded LAMBO.

Pavel Durov once again spoke out this morning about the blocks by Roskomnadzor and the idea of Digital Resistance 🔥

ℹ️ In his posts on Telegram and X, he mentioned that around 50 million users (and bots 😏) from Russia send at least one message daily. At the same time, total online users reach about 65 million. He compared the situation in Russia to Iran and essentially encouraged more active VPN usage.
Also, after 6 years, a new version of MTProxy (a proxy for Telegram) has appeared.

🤔 Overall, he’s saying reasonable things, but as usual — everything comes down to nuances. On one hand, yes, millions of users bypass restrictions via VPN. The Russian authorities themselves pushed people toward this: the blocks weren’t точечные, but massive. Now without a VPN, people lose not just a few sites, but a significant part of the internet. That’s a strong motivator to learn обходы. That’s where the rational part ends.

➡️ Now to the nuances:
▫️ The MTProxy update was made by enthusiasts, not the Telegram team. Durov didn’t clarify this, which caused some backlash.

▫️ The “Telegram” label story. Yes, users got marked, but it looks more like an attempt to balance between pressure and reputation.

▫️ There’s a feeling that certain players (like TOP) may be interested in promoting such solutions — maybe even involved in development. There’s clearly money there, but the question is — at what cost.

▫️ On the day of the block (April 1), there was also an attempt to monetize via Premium subscriptions — a questionable move.

🤝 I’m not justifying the actions of Roskomnadzor. They’re systematically disrupting internet access and creating problems for users. Recently, they even affected parts of the banking system while trying to block Telegram. At the same time, I think Telegram should push harder if they’re bringing back the idea of Digital Resistance — otherwise we might end up seeing ads from “Max” inside Telegram 😏

👉 On a more positive note, Durov has started engaging with regular users again — hopefully this becomes a trend.
