Metaplanet is bringing its bitcoin to Nasdaq through someone else's company
Japan's Metaplanet is contributing 2,100 BTC (about $132.1M) plus $2.5M in cash to Super League, a small Nasdaq-listed firm that sells advertising inside games. In return it gets 44,859,400 shares at $3, preferred stock and warrants for up to 381 million more shares.
Super League will be renamed Superplanet, the ticker becomes SUPA, and Metaplanet will hold roughly 95.7% of the common stock. Its own shares are locked up for five years. Closing is expected in the fourth quarter.
Metaplanet itself holds 43,000 BTC today — the third-largest corporate treasury in the world. Deal terms.
