ㅤㅤburnt orange feathers at a blued dawn.
ㅤFreshly carved paper and
ㅤhot ink, the ice-cold tiles
ㅤon your bathroom floor,
ㅤnudged sleep and solemnly
ㅤwhispered 𓇟 goodbyes.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤSoftened mania, but a
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤdeeper ache swallows you.
ㅤThe earth barely prying out of
ㅤsummer’s baneful grasp, once
ㅤa refuge for breathing, an excuse;
ㅤnow we are reminded life is a gift.
But the last flickers of light blur in sloshed revelery, we seize the shivered night and claim it with innate warmth and sentience.
