As it has already been explained, we had to disable some languages from Group Butler.

All strings are still available on our Crowdin Project. As soon as we find proofreaders to review these locales we can re-enable them.

If we don’t get enough proofreading contributions on languages listed to be removed, unfortunately we’re going to disable them until they get enough proofreading to be re-enabled again. The deadline is 31/03/2019.

It is very important that we go through this process to ensure that we’re delivering quality localizations for the users.

Also, remember that localization, just like Group Butler development, is volunteer work, so we would like to give a big thank you to all past, current and future contributors.

Locales that have less than 25% approval/proof reading (the green bar from crowdin) are going to be disabled soon.

If you contribute actively to one of those locales, you can visit @gbtranslators and ask to become a proof reader.

Due to a billing problem of our server provider, our servers were turned off today. This caused a few hours of outage, since it corrupted the databases of two bots and our internal monitoring system. The database has been repaired without any data loss and everything should be running smoothly again now.

We apologize for the inconvienience.

Update

We're now testing webhooks on @gbdummy2_bot. If everything goes well, it will be rolled out into the other bots. This should help dealing with the load so we can finally shut down dummy bots. If you have issues with this bot describe it on support groups.

If you're a developer, you're welcomed to test on your own clones and send patches to https://github.com/yangm97/GroupButler/tree/webhooks

Unfortunately, since this is a WIP there's no guide on how to set up nor can we provide help using it yet.

As the bots are having serious issues keeping up with the messages and have been working intermittently yesterday and for the past hours, please use @gbdummy1_bot (instead of Group Butler) and @gbdummy2_bot (instead of Group Butler beta). They are temporary bots that will be turned off once issues has been solved.

They are running on the same server of the normal bots, and using the same database, meaning they still have your data. You just have to add them to your chat. Please do not remove the normal bots, it is important to let them receive the same amount of messages they are receiving now, otherwise it wouldn't be possible to understand how to handle rate limits better

The bots are having some troubles retrieving the updates. Hopefully will be fixed soon™, as the tokens have been revoked and apparently this fixed the problem.

About the recent, frequent, connection problems the bot had during the past weeks that were making them unresponsive: the problem is *not* related to the amount of messages the bots are processing, it's a connection problem happening on our side, which I haven't been able to fix/overcome yet, but there will be news about this soon. Hopefully

Edit: this may take more time than expected. The server won't reboot and my ticket is laying there waiting for "some admins to check it", as the guy who aswered said. Will post more updates on this message

Edit: the bot is actually working now, but it needs some time to re-save the adminlists of every group

Looks like the server where the bot is hosted is unreachable, I'm talking with the service provider right now

Edit: there surely will be some data losses. If you have a /snap backup, restore it by sending it to the group and replying to it with /import
