●Talcum Powder in Electrical Cables:
Talcum Powder is used in some low current-carrying cables such as computer power cable to make it flexible, to stop the internal wires from getting stuck to the outer rubber casing. When a cable is used over a long period of time, its outer rubber gets sticky and can be broken down. So to prevent this problem talcum powder is used in some electrical cables.

●Swellable Powder in Electrical Cables:
Swellable Powder is used in electrical cables to block the water and to eliminate the moisture issue. These powders can form a gel-like material when contacting with water and block the flow of water. These powder swell and expands to block the water permanently.
●Chalk Powder in Electrical Cables:
Chalk Powder used in some cables to provide fire resistance. To prevent wires inside a cable from fire, chalk powder is used in some electrical cables.

Copyleft- Copyleft, as the name suggests, heads in the opposite direction to copyright. Playing on the word ‘copyright’, copyleft overrides copyright and promotes the concept that materials should be:
freely used, copied and modified by others.
Copyleft also requires that all versions of the material that users modify are freely accessible so that others can use and modify it. 
The principles of copyleft are commonly used within the software industry, where source code is often free for anyone to modify.

Mobile microrobots offer great promise for minimally invasive targeted medical theranostic applications at hard-to-access regions inside the human body. The circulatory system represents the ideal route for navigation; however, blood flow impairs propulsion of microrobots especially for the ones with overall sizes less than 10 micrometers. Moreover, cell- and tissue-specific targeting is required for efficient recognition of disease sites and long-term preservation of microrobots under dynamic flow conditions. Here, we report cell-sized multifunctional surface microrollers with ~3.0 and ~7.8-micrometer diameters, inspired by leukocytes in the circulatory system, for targeted drug delivery into specific cells and controlled navigation inside blood flow.

​​What is Weather Balloon?

A weather or sounding balloon is a balloon (specifically a type of high-altitude balloon) that carries instruments aloft to send back information on atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity and wind speed by means of a small, expendable measuring device called a radiosonde. To obtain wind data, they can be tracked by radar, radio direction finding, or navigation systems (such as the satellite-based Global Positioning System, GPS). Balloons meant to stay at a constant altitude for long periods of time are known as transosondes. Weather balloons that do not carry an instrument pack are used to determine upper-level winds and the height of cloud layers. For such balloons, a theodolite or total station is used to track the balloon's azimuth and elevation, which are then converted to estimated wind speed and direction and/or cloud height, as applicable.

​​What are Tetrapods?

Tetrapod, in Greek means “four legged.” If you observe a tetrapod you will see four legs protruding from a middle structure just like a star fish. These four-legged tetrapods are nothing but concrete made structures used to prevent coastal erosion. The name has become so famous that now even the three-legged concrete structures are also known as tetrapods.
The tetrapods are designed in such a way that they dissipate the force of incoming waves by making the water flow around rather than against them. They also reduce displacement by allowing the random distribution of tetrapods to mutually interlock. Due to their weight and design, tetrapods can remain stable even under the most extreme weather conditions. A number of tetrapods arranged together form an interlocking, porous barrier that dissipates the power of waves and currents.

​​What is the difference between ‘Cemetery’ and ‘Graveyard’?

From about the 7th century C.E., the process of burial was firmly in the hands of the Church (the Christian organization), and burying the dead was only allowed on the lands near a church (now referring to the building), the so-called churchyard. The part of the churchyard used for burial was called graveyard.
As the population of Europe started to grow, the capacity of graveyards was no longer sufficient (the population of modern Europe is almost 40 times higher than it was in the 7th century). By the end of the 18th century, the unsustainability of church burials became apparent, and completely new places for burying people, independent of graveyards, appeared—and these were called cemeteries.

​​How does Smoke Detector Alarm work?

The two most commonly recognized smoke detection technologies are ionization smoke detection and photoelectric smoke detection.
Ionization smoke alarms are generally more responsive to flaming fires.
How they work: Ionization-type smoke alarms have a small amount of radioactive material between two electrically charged plates, which ionizes the air and causes current to flow between the plates. When smoke enters the chamber, it disrupts the flow of ions, thus reducing the flow of current and activating the alarm. 
Photoelectric smoke alarms are generally more responsive to fires that begin with a long period of smoldering (called “smoldering fires”).
How they work: Photoelectric-type alarms aim a light source into a sensing chamber at an angle away from the sensor. Smoke enters the chamber, reflecting light onto the light sensor; triggering the alarm.
For best protection, it is recommended both (ionization and photoelectric) technologies be used in homes. In addition to individual ionization and photoelectric alarms, combination alarms that include both technologies in a single device are available.

​​What is the difference between Table salt and Sea salt?

Table salt and sea salt have the same chemical composition, but different processing methods give them a slightly different taste and texture. Sea salt is produced by evaporating the water from seawater or saltwater lakes, leaving behind salt but also small amounts of minerals such as magnesium, calcium and potassium, which can affect flavour. The large salt crystals give it a relatively coarse texture. Table salt, on the other hand, is typically mined from salt deposits. It is washed, purified and stripped of any contaminants. Additives are then added to prevent it from clumping. Iodised salt also contains extra potassium iodide.
