"He was silent but brave. You could rely on him and trust him with your life. We were going to this battle together, joking about adventures of the past, making new plans. He was waiting for the birth of his daughter and the moment when he would see her for the first time. But, his fate turned out differently," says Dmytro Kyrychenko's comrade-in-arms.

▪️ Exactly one year ago, a cold trench at the positions near Lukianivka. Kyiv region has been one of the hottest spots on the frontline for a month. The first large-scale counter-offensive. The dampness of the fresh soil chills you to the bone. The battle lasts for the whole night. The sounds of shellings and firefights were barely audible through the frantic pounding of a burning heart.

Gunpowder mixed with the morning fog. Not everyone will return from the battle.
A single shot - silence and Eternal life.

This was the last moment for our soldier, the commander of the reconnaissance platoon of the 1st company of the Revanche battalion, Dmytro Kyrychenko.
He was one of those who bravely went into combat, looking into the eyes of death.

The best of us are the first to take the fight.

We remember the glory of our heroes and will continue their legacy.

Yesterday was the anniversary of March 14, 2022, the day when Dmytro Holubiev, callsign "Dementor", soldier of the "Revanche" volunteer battalion, died in battle.

Under the cover of night, in the moonlight, the engines of the pickup trucks roared and the Revanchists once again advanced towards the village of Moshun, where the pressure of the Russians was becoming critical for the defense forces of the capital. Despite the chaos around, the bravest, sometimes without proper experience or equipment, courageously marched into battle for Kyiv.
Dmytro was one of them. The soldiers of the unit were wounded almost immediately upon entering the village. The enemy fire was aimed, and half of our group had to retreat pulling out the wounded. The troops were unable to communicate properly. Despite all the difficulties, the squad of Dmytro held out under fire until morning. With the first rays of dawn, our guys launched a counterattack on the overwhelming enemy. As they advanced toward the Russian positions, one of the enemy mines detonated in the crone of a shrapnel-torn tree. The treacherous piece of metal hit Dmytro right in the heart. He died instantly. The fight went on for a long time. Moshchun was on fire. Both our victorious soldiers and enemies, frenzied with failure, were falling. Moshchun held out. Kyiv held out.
