Slovakia aims to secure access to Russian gas — Fico wants use TurkStreamFico talked with Erdogan about using TurkStream to supply Russian gas to Slovakia. The Turkish president promised Ankara's help in finding a solution, Bloomberg reports.
The Slovak prime minister believes that since Ukraine decided to cut off Slovakia’s gas supply, an alternative solution is to supply Russian gas to Slovakia via the Turkish Stream pipeline and then to supply it further to Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary.
"Russian partners need to get involved and confirm if they are prepared to increase the volume of this gas to reach Slovak territory,"

Robert Fico will travel to Turkey for further discussions next week.
