ㅤㅤRyujin (류진) is a South Korean rapper, singer and actress under JYP Entertainment. She is the main rapper and center of the girl group ITZY. In October of 2017, Ryujin became a contestant on the survival show MIXNINE. She was ranked 1st place in the finale, however, was eliminated when the boys' team won against the girls', thus ultimately not being able to debut. On January 20, 2019, she was revealed as a member of ITZY, JYP Entertainment's newest girl group. The group debuted on February 12, 2019, with the digital single, "IT'z Different". She, alongside fellow member Chaeryeong, graduated from Hanlim Multi Arts School on February 7, 2020. Ryujin is known as a 'successful fan', having made the transition from fangirl to K-pop star with Itzy. Fans of K-pop use the term “successful fan” to refer to the select few who are able to get noticed by or sometimes even develop a direct relationship with their idols. The rapper, dancer and vocalist Ryujin from the popular 4th gen K-pop girl group ITZY falls in this personality type. They're people who think rationally and majorly prefer a close-knit group. ITZY took an MBTI test in 2020 and Ryujin's personality was then revealed to be an INTJ. Ryujin was infamously scouted in one of GOT7's fan meetings as she was and still is an avid Ahgase. However, GOT7 was not the main reason she joined JYP Entertainment. The ITZY main rapper once shared that she joined JYP because she thought the girl who scouted her was hot.
