Hi! I’m Simone Legno, founder of TokiDoki. Excited to share my thoughts!

How did TokiDoki begin?
My passion for Japanese culture led me to create a personal website in 2003. It caught the attention of Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold of Hard Candy, and in 2004, I moved to LA to develop TokiDoki.

Do you have a favorite character?
“Sandy” from “Cactus Friends” is special. Her cactus design symbolizes both protection and vulnerability, resonating with my own experiences.

What makes TokiDoki so beloved?
It’s the mix of kawaii Japanese aesthetics with Western pop culture, creating relatable characters with stories and emotions.

How do fans inspire you?
Fans are my driving force. Their energy and feedback spark new ideas and help keep TokiDoki fresh.
