HYDRATING VS MOISTURIZING
HYDRATING ingredients add water to skin & also trap water to skin so that skin keep on hydrating.
MOISTURISING products akan prevent water loss dengan seal/lock hydration to skin.
Kekra bagi easy example ye. Moisturizing products ni dia actually try to improve skin condition dgn mengelakkan dari water loss from skin. Mcm dehydrated skin, lacks water and needs to be hydrated. So kena pakai or add more hydrating product in order to add more water to skin. Kalau dry skin pulak lacks oil. Dia kurang hasilkan minyak, so needs to be moisturised with moisturising products.
Dry skin tu adalah skin type & dehydrated skin pulak adalah skin condition yang mana sesiapa sahaja boleh kena tak kisahlah apa jenis skin type sekalipun.

Dehydrated skin ni perlukan produk yang hydrating lah. Bila dehydrated, skin akan produce minyak lebih dari biasa untuk cover water loss tadi which also can lead to breakouts factor. For dehydrated skin, more better untuk stick to products yang ada ingredients like hyaluronic acid which is HA ni membantu untuk absorb air.
MOISTURIZE
Dry skin pulak perlukan produk yang more towards moisturise skin. Dry skin ni jadi sebab kurangnya penghasilan minyak pada muka & terjadinya transepidermal water loss (water evaporation from skin). So basically skin akan lack of water & oil. So pilihan produk yang tepat mestilah yang contain moisturising agents like humectant/emollient/occlusives. Itulah beza dua tu. Tapi dua2 ada same target lah. Untuk helps skin get enough water, heal dry/dehydrated skin, cuma hydrating products hydrate skin cells & increase skin water content. Moisturising products prevent water loss from skin. That’s why moisturiser ni fungsi dia to lock & seal & also provide protective barrier dekat skin untuk prevent water loss. So actually dua2 memang sgt penting untuk skin. Hydrate & moisturise.
P/s : dehydrated skin pon kena moisturise skin. Sebab if u hydrate kan skin sahaja, tapi tak moisturise skin, skin akn hilang keanjalan/firming, same goes to dry skin, if u moisturise sahaja tapi tak hydrate skin, skin akan tend to be dull/nampak more aging.
