Two Important Technical Updates of the TON Ecosystem Recently
1️⃣ Consensus Algorithm Upgrade + Bug Bounty
Telegram and the Ton Core team announced the launch of a new round of bug bounty for the consensus algorithm, with a maximum reward of $100,000 and a deadline of March 27 (Dubai time).
The focus of this bounty is to audit the new validator consensus mechanism of TON, with the aim of improving network stability, block propagation efficiency, and security. Essentially, this is an upgrade to the underlying performance and security of the network.
2️⃣ Cocoon AI Integration into TON
At the same time, Ton Core also confirmed its support for Cocoon AI smart contracts and has already integrated with the Toncenter API.
Its architecture is very similar to the TON Storage described in the TON whitepaper:
• TON Storage: Nodes provide storage space to earn Toncoin
• Cocoon AI: Nodes provide GPU computing power to earn Toncoin
All tasks and settlements are completed through on-chain smart contracts.
These two updates actually correspond to two directions of TON:
• Underlying upgrade: Optimization of the consensus mechanism → faster and more secure network
