Renowned for his multifaceted talents spanning poetry, music, comedy, and more, Lemn Sissay is set to captivate audiences during his upcoming appearance at the British Council Book Fair on May 11 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon. After reading extracts from his new book, “Let the Light Pour In”, there will be a one-off Book Signing opportunity.

On the previous day, May 10, Lemn will be storytelling and reading some of his work at the Abrehot Library from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Entrance to both places, the Abrehot Library and the British Council Book Fair will be free.

YZ is an independent, private museum and historical entity. This former residence of Woz. Yimtubezinash Habte was constructed in 1892 E.C., by Indian architects and reflects significant architectural, societal, and historical values, combining Ethiopian and Indian traditional architecture from that period. Despite the fact that the house was built during an dominant patriarchal period, where women’s independence and power were both undervalued, this house was built by a strong and determined woman, Yimtubezinash Habte and is just one of only ten houses registered as heritage sites bearing a woman’s name.

He has also provided barista training to international organizations here in Addis. He also worked for seven years as a barista and cafe manager for a busy central cafe in downtown Auckland in New Zealand!, now offering small, unique classes (up to 5 students) on how to become your own Barista,
