Blizzard is warning all players in the WoW Forever beta test to make sure they bring a raincoat or umbrella. The developers promise that the weather in certain locations will soon feature enhanced effects.

Longtime fans of the classic game remember what the snowstorms in Dun Morogh used to look like and how dark it used to get at night in the Twilight Forest. Who knows how far the Forever developers will go in this regard. But they have already shown a demo of the enhanced rain.

The Night Elf locations have been completely transformed by the new lighting in WoW Forever. Sometimes, the heroes of Azeroth complain that it’s even a bit too much. Certain corners of the Ashenwood Forest feel like walking under blinding spotlights. However, when the updated lighting, particles, and water effects work as intended, that’s when the magic begins. And even the classic glowing eyes of the Night Elves shine just right, highlighting one of the defining features of this ancient race.
