US Government loses $20M in seized crypto assets
Crypto analyst ZachXBT reports a possible hack of wallets associated with the US government. About $20 million in USDC, USDT, aUSDC, and ETH, seized from Bitfinex hackers, has reportedly been transferred to a hacker’s wallet.
According to Arkham, the funds were moved to the 0x348 wallet, from which the crypto has already started being sold and sent to suspicious accounts.
UPD: The threat actor transferred $19.2M back to the compromised US government address.
This amount does not include the funds already transferred to instant exchanges (Switchain, HitBTC, N Exchange) — ZachXBT.
