๐ง๐ทโ๏ธ๐ฎโ๐ฑ โ For the first time in history, someone has been indicted for attempting a coup d'รฉtat in Brazil merely for hosting livestreams on YouTube
๐ฅ Journalist and entrepreneur Paulo Figueiredo Filho, grandson of former President Joรฃo Baptista Figueiredo, reacted to his indictment by the Federal Police in an investigation into an alleged coup attempt in 2022.
๐บ๐ธ Figueiredo, who has lived in the United States for nearly a decade, stated that he was never in Brazil during the year in question and described the accusations as part of a "campaign of intimidation."
๐ In a statement, Figueiredo asserted that his only "criminal conduct" was accurately reporting, from the United States, events related to the Brazilian Army's high command. He also accused Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes of leading a "dictatorial escalation" in Brazil and reiterated that he would not back down from exercising his freedoms.
๐จ๐ณ Figueiredo emphasized that, in his view, the indictment reflects an effort to silence him, as he actively works in the United States to expose what he called Brazil's "alignment with China." The journalist expressed his confidence that the United States, under a new administration, will acknowledge the severity of the situation in Brazil.

"I make it clear: I will not respond to intimidation, nor will I retreat in exercising my God-given freedoms. I am fully confident that the United States, under a new administration that values freedom, will address these events with the seriousness they deserve."
