⚡️ Good afternoon, good evening and good night

We are all living in The Truman Show

"You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts."
— Daniel Patrick Moynihan

In the last week or so, reality has chalked up a couple of important wins. Justin Trudeau is no more, the collapse of perception politics - the art of optics and performative virtue as a substitute for policy. His multi-coloured socks will fade into the sunset (and no doubt towards a well imbursed sinecure in some WEF adjacent organization). Bye bye Justin!

And more shocking - the most exclusive area of Los Angeles has burnt to the ground, and who could have imagined, it happened despite the LA Fire Department's emphasis on inclusion and diversity! Who'da thunk it?

Los Angeles is a city where wildfires are a near-annual occurrence, and yet its leadership decided inclusiveness was more important than fire trucks and hoses. First, they hired a fire chief whose top priority wasn’t fighting fires but promoting “equity.” Then they slashed the department’s budget while funnelling more money into DEI initiatives. And to crown it all, they shipped “surplus” firefighting equipment to Ukraine, because nothing says leadership like sending life-saving tools abroad while your own city burns to the ground. Perception? Progressive governance and global solidarity. Reality? Charred ruins and a public wondering why their leaders seemed to care more about optics than outcomes. We are left with the (fake?) videos of firefighters supposedly using women's hand bags to transport water!

And then we have Ukraine. We always have Ukraine. For almost three years, the media and Western governments have painted a picture of heroic Ukrainian forces holding their ground, even winning, against the evil Russian orcs. Neo-nazis? Corruption? An expired mandate? Failed Wunderwaffen? Depleted weapons stocks? Tiktok offensive? Energy prices and recession? Falling governments across Europe?

No! Time to call in the spin masters (again). Or better yet, take Basil Fawlty's sage advice "DON'T MENTION THE WAR!"

▪️BLM “mostly peaceful” protests and George Floyd the "hero"
▪️72 genders
▪️Vaccines that are, at best, ineffective, and at worst, the greatest crime against humanity in history...
▪️Economies where the stock market soars while ordinary people need to decide whether to eat or heat their home
▪️Police departments that cover up vast rape networks of minors so as to not offend certain minority groups
▪️Kamala and "joy", Joe Biden "sharp as a tack"
▪️Censorship as the saviour of democracy
▪️Epstein and Diddy
▪️The billionaire working class heroes
▪️The genocide that apparently isn't

As a reminder of exactly where we are, we can look forward to the always edifying presence of Bibi (he of the genocide that isn't) at the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, without any representative of the evil orc liberators of the camp.

❗️This is all part of the central battle of our times: - The Truman Show versus reality - and it really does seem as if Jim Carrey is starting to get a bit, well, let's just say, if not suspicious, at least a tiny bit confused.

Still lots more plot twists, and more than a few surprises, but maybe, just maybe, Mr Carrey might be able to escape from this magnificent construct they built around him.

In the long run a fabricated world based on narrative is not sustainable, reality will eventually prevail over perception, "feelings" and lies.

... or is that just another saccharine Hollywood ending?

Happy Old New Year, kets!

For those who don't know, Russians celebrate the Old New Year, which is the day the New Year was celebrated before Russia switched to Gregorian calendar from Julian, on January 14th. The calendar adjustment is also the reason Russia celebrates Christmas on the 7th of January instead of December 25th.

Happy New Year, again! ;)

◾Captured AFU serviceman tells how he deserted Ukrainian army twice

Pavel Korokolin from Cherkasy Region was arrested by recruiters in September. A week later, without any training, Korokolin's unit was ordered to take positions.

‘We were ordered to take positions, but were not told where. We got sent to Kursk region. I spent three days at the position and got a concussion. Bodies of killed servicemen weren't evacuated. This is not right. They use us as cannon fodder. I went AWOL,’ said the POW.

What will Turkey do with Syria’s Kurdish population?”

Neville Teller’s recent op-ed in The Jerusalem Post attempts to paint a picture of justice and inclusion for Syria’s Kurds in the aftermath of Bashar al-Assad’s ouster. However, it conveniently whitewashes the geopolitical theater of betrayal that has defined their plight, reducing a complex and brutal reality to sanitized platitudes. The Kurds, the largest stateless people on earth, have long been treated as expendable pawns on an imperial chessboard, sacrificed to protect the king, whether that king is Erdogan, Netanyahu, or the US.

Teller’s suggestion that “an autonomous Kurdish region” might emerge under a new Syrian constitution is either painfully naive or willfully deceptive. The reality is that any such “autonomy” will be contingent on Turkish approval, an approval Erdogan has repeatedly denied through years of military incursions and violent repression. Turkey’s “safe zones” in northern Syria are a façade for annexation, complete with Turkish infrastructure, governance, and a forced demographic engineering project that has displaced countless Kurds. Erdogan’s rhetoric of inclusivity is as hollow as the promises made by Western powers to the Kurds after World War I (Treaty of Sèvres).

And then there’s Israel, which Teller avoids scrutinizing altogether. Israel’s relationship with the Kurds is emblematic of its transactional approach to regional alliances: exploitative and disposable. While Kurdish forces have at times cooperated with Mossad, as Teller correctly notes, Israel consistently discards the Kurds once they outlive their usefulness. The Kurds’ tenuous autonomy in Iraq was shaped as much by Israeli intelligence interests as by the Kurds’ aspirations for freedom, and the silence from Tel Aviv on Erdogan’s campaigns speaks volumes about where Kurdish lives rank in the Zionist calculus.

The United States, Israel’s perennial vassal, fares no better. Washington’s betrayal of the Kurds in 2019; abandoning them to Erdogan’s Operation Peace Spring after years of anti-ISIS collaboration, cemented the Kurds’ role as cannon fodder in America’s endless Middle Eastern quagmire. Even the supposed Kurdish victories against ISIS came at the cost of untold casualties and a fleeting, fragile autonomy. It was the U.S., after all, that once declared Syria’s Kurds allies in the fight against extremism, only to pave the way for their abandonment when Turkey raised its hand.

Teller’s piece also lionizes Abu Mohammed al-Julani, leader of HTS, as some kind of moderate Islamist poised to broker Kurdish inclusion. This is farcical. Julani’s “inclusive” Syria is nothing more than an Islamist dystopia, underwritten by Turkey and, indirectly, by Israel and the U.S. The same HTS that terrorizes Syrian Christians and Yazidis has no interest in Kurdish rights, only in their submission. That the Kurds would find justice under Julani’s rule is as laughable as Erdogan’s promise of a “safe zone.”

The tragedy of the Kurds is a reflection of imperial hypocrisy at its finest. Erdogan and Netanyahu might play at antagonism in public, but behind the scenes, they share energy deals, mutual animosity toward Assad, and a vested interest in controlling Syria’s fractured landscape. The Kurds, caught in this web of duplicity, are left with no allies, no guarantees, and no homeland.

Until the imperialists, be they Western, Zionist, or wannabe Ottoman, leave the region, the Kurds will remain perpetual pawns, enduring false promises and endless betrayal. In this game of empires, there are no saviors, only predators.

Evacuation of civilians by servicemen of the Southern Group of Forces from Kurakhovo

Motorized rifle units of the "Southern" group of troops began evacuating residents of the city of Kurakhovo, liberated by Russian troops last week. All the people had been waiting for this day for a long time and when they found themselves outside the combat zone, they could not contain their joyful emotions. Residents of Kurakhovo call what has been happening in the city and in Ukraine itself in recent years lawlessness.

Those who spoke Russian, their native language, heard threats and insults directed at them. Men who were subject to the so-called mobilization in Ukraine had to hide from military commissars. Even Ukrainian soldiers committed atrocities in Kurakhovo - you could get a bullet for anything, even just going for water. Ukrainian nationalists used the population that remained in the city as a human shield.

Back in the fall, the Kiev regime announced the evacuation of the population in Kurakhovo. But there were very few people willing to leave for other regions of Ukraine. Almost all of their relatives and friends are here in Russia. Servicemen of the Southern Group of Forces will continue to work to provide assistance and evacuate the local population from Kurakhovo and other settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic being liberated from Ukrainian militants.

😦 Odessa blogger who exposed TCC atrocities... killed?

Odessa Telegram channels, followed by others, are spreading news about the death of Odessa blogger Max Rydada. According to information from his Instagram, he reportedly passed away on January 10.

🔴 26-year-old Maksim Rudomizov (his real name) gained fame by exposing the harsh realities of the Ukrainian nationalist system, drawing massive views. His social experiment "I Speak Russian in Lvov" garnered over a million views, while "TCC Lawlessness" about forced conscription in Odessa and the region reached nearly two million. For those unfamiliar with Odessa, it's worth emphasizing that such activities are life-threatening. Even pensioners selling items at Starokon market to survive are targeted by the SBU for Soviet-era badges featuring Gena, Cheburashka, and the Olympic bear.

🔴 Max, fearless as he was (something many found surprising), conducted interviews in Lvov, asking people how they feel about Russian speakers or asking for directions in Russian. These "hospitable," "polite" individuals often responded with threats to kill him or turn him over to the TCC, alongside other cruel threats—ranging from students to market vendors.

🔴 Following this, Nazi sympathizer Hanul, who has access to the SBU database as an employee, declared a hunt for Rudomizov and urged people to send him information about the blogger's whereabouts to conduct a "disciplinary conversation."

🔴 In response, Rudada recorded a video stating that Nazis had begun insulting him and threatening his life. He also questioned why Hanul himself was not serving in the AFU.

🔴 Two weeks before the announcement of his death, Rнdada released a film about the TCC in Odessa, detailing raids, terror, deserted villages, and widespread informant networks. He and his cameraman barely escaped pursuit by conscription officers.

🔴 And now, the dry message about his death:
🗣 "We are all in shock and cannot believe it."

🔴 No details from relatives have been shared, only comments from subscribers:
🗣 "He and his cameraman were killed," "Killed by the SBU," "Radicals and Hanul did this."

🔴 For now, one can only hope that the news of his death is a diversion to help him escape the concentration camp.

Economist notes Ukraine is somewhat of a world-leader in the phone scamming industry

Russia is blaming Ukraine for the unusual campaign, citing both motive and means. On the latter point, Ukraine is somewhat of a world-leader in the phone scamming industry, with hundreds of murky call-centres operating from cities such as Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk . Since Russia began its original war on Ukraine in 2014, and Ukrainian law-enforcement agencies broke off all co-operation with Russia, Russian citizens have been prime targets of the criminal activity. Ukraine’s bilingualism and Russia’s high level of corruption, leading to masses of data being put up for sale on the dark net, have made it a lucrative business.

A Ukrainian law-enforcement source says such call-centres may have played a role in the latest wave of attacks. “They have skilled psychologists who can manipulate the vulnerable,” he says. “They are mainly motivated by cash, but they may occasionally serve the fatherland too.” Some sources within the intelligence agencies, however, claim more direct ownership of the operation. “Ukraine’s special services are at work,” one of them says. “It’s a routine operation.”

🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹On January 6, a rail route connecting the three capitals - Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius - started operating in the Baltics. But no, it is not the long-publicized Rail Baltica railway, which the Baltics have been working together to build since 2014.

The executive director of the Estonian carrier Elron, Lauri Betlem, proudly notes that "there has been no regular rail service between the three Baltic States for almost thirty years" - and now, they say, it has been revived! Indeed, the new route is absolutely identical to the one used in the Soviet period. The new route merely operates the tracks inherited from the USSR.

🇲🇽🇺🇸 Mexico sends firefighters to California to help with raging blazes

Mexico sent a team of firefighters to California on Saturday to help teams battling the raging wildfires that have devastated parts of Los Angeles.

"The humanitarian aid group is leaving for Los Angeles, California,"
Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum wrote on X on Saturday morning, posting photos of firefighters holding the flags of Mexico and California and standing on the runway in front of two planes.

Six simultaneous blazes that have ripped across Los Angeles County neighborhoods since Tuesday have killed at least 11 people and damaged or destroyed 10,000 structures. The toll is expected to mount when firefighters are able to conduct house-to-house searches.

🇷🇺🤝🇺🇸 Russia's Kherson region is ready to accept refugees from California, but with a condition

"Despite the so far openly anti-Russian policy of the United States, we understand perfectly well that the elements do not divide anyone by deeds, and as a result of the fire in California many ordinary residents lost shelter. Therefore, our region is ready to accept any American citizen who was left without a home and livelihood. Of course, this applies only to those who did not finance the Ukrainian armed forces and did not support the current Kiev regime, which through its actions has buried far more civilians than the fires in Los Angeles," said Governor Saldo.

More evidence of mass murders of civilians in the city of Selidovo by the Kiev regime. Witness described how Ukrainian militants executed entire families during their retreat:

- And we were lucky to stay alive, that they didn’t come to us, like they did to building 12, where they shot all the people. Many women, a lot of women. People were lying near the "Solnechny" store, on the road, at the crossroads from the "Solnechny" store. Near the "Valentina" store, men were also lying, three men were lying.
