A layer-1 chain for tokenized real-world assets, switched off by its own team. The day in order:
• August 18 — an upgrade brought Ethereum virtual machine compatibility to the chain
• 00:10 UTC — the halt "as a precaution", endpoints frozen
• 09:44 UTC — root cause contained: a flaw in the Cosmos EVM module, two addresses affected, no user funds exploited
• 19:28 UTC — a coordinated validator restart is being prepared
What broke was not the project itself but an upstream dependency it relies on — which concerns every chain built from the same libraries. And while a chain is stopped, nothing can leave it.
