Virginia: A 62-year-old man was arrested after he reportedly assaulted two deputies before an hours-long standoff with authorities in New Kent County on Tuesday.
The Sheriff’s Office said the incident began at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday when deputies responded to reports of an alleged assault on a tow truck driver who was legally attempting to repossess a vehicle at 5511 Holly Fork Road.
When deputies arrived on scene, they encountered Taylor, who reportedly became combative. A struggle then ensued during which a taser was deployed by authorities.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, during the altercation, Taylor assaulted two deputies, one of which sustained an injury to his foot and required medical attention.
