What is the “Alliance of Greeks” that was endorsed by Ilias Kasidiaris?➡️ The party was founded in 2025 and is headquartered in Agios Dimitrios, Athens. It consists of three former Spartiates MPs (Ioannis Dimitrokallis, Dionysios Valtogiannis and Georgios Manousos), who left their party after disagreements over support for Kasidiaris while he was in prison.
➡️ Unlike other MPs who supported the government in crucial votes (Floros and Katsivardas), Dimitrokallis, Valtogiannis and Manousos have generally
opposed government-backed bills, including the controversial armed forces and
taxi reforms.
➡️ However, the party policies tend to imitate other right wing parties across Europe, albeit with a larger emphasis on state intervention and the need to modernise the armed forces.
➡️ Some of the major
positions of the party include achieving remigration within 36 months, creating a 10-year industrial plan, boosting domestic enterprises and nationalising natural resources reserves. Additionally, the party proposes a 18-month military conscription for both men and women, digital assessment of public services by the public and uncovering scandals during the entire Metapolitefsi era; no mention to scandals of previous eras.
➡️ In terms of
foreign policy, the party aims to renew the defence doctrine with Cyprus, supports the existing partnerships with the United States and Israel and aims to restore ties with Russia. The party omits references to support for Ukraine and is generally critical of the European Union, although it proposes to continue using the veto on the European Council for national priorities.
➡️ Overall, the party wants to differentiate from Kasidiaris’ former political positions within Golden Dawn, as it aims to appeal to a broader audience positioned on the “patriotic” side. Whether his involvement will create new legal hurdles to a participation in the elections, remains a matter to be considered.
