Subordinate Conjunction (မှီတွယ်အဆက်စကား)လို့ခေါ်ပါတယ် ။ ဒီအဆက်စကားမျိုး ဦးဆောင် ဖွဲစည်းထားတဲ့ဝာကျအပိုင်းဟာ အဓိပ္ပာယ် မပြည့်စုံသေးပါဘူး။ဒါကြောင့် အဓိပ္ပာယ် ပြည့်စုံ့အောင် အခြားဝါကျဏ္ဍဖြစ်တဲ့ (main clause )ခေါ်(အဓိက ဝါကျကဏ္ဍ)တစ်ကြောင်းကြောင်း သွားရောက်မှီခိုရပါလိမ့်မည်။သို့မှသာ အဓိပ္ပာယ် ပြည့်စုံစေတဲ့ အဆင့်ကိုရောက်အောင်လို့ ဆက်စပ် ထားတဲ့ အဆက်စကားမျိုးကို (မှီတွယ်အဆက်စကား)လို့ခေါ်သည်။

ဥပမာ - as i was ill.
