Репост из: Not Games
Everything is becoming a place to play 😀
Games used to live in one place at a time. A console, a disc, a store page. You picked where to play and that was it
Now you expect to play wherever you already are. And places we never thought of as gaming platforms are becoming exactly that
Pixel World was built for that shift
Born in Telegram
You open tg and you're in a match. No downloads and store pages. A few years ago that would have sounded impossible
It worked because nobody had to change their habits. You're in the messenger anyway, and now there's a game in it
But a shooter needs solid tech. So the team rebuilt the network engine before adding anything new. Now it runs twice as fast, phones stay cool, and you're in a match in seconds
Beyond Telegram
Telegram is home, but it isn't the ceiling
PW is on CrazyGames now, a platform with 30M+ players a month. Google Play & App Store are next
450k players, 135k of them active every month
Building for 4+ places at once is harder than building for one. Different screens, controls, expectations, and the same game has to hold up in all of them
That's the trade we made. It costs more time and it looks slower from the outside
But a game that lives in one place can disappear with one decision that isn't yours
Is it worth it?
