👉🏻The answer:
A8/ Birr al-Walidayn after their death, is summarized in what the Prophet -ﷺ- said:
“For indeed it was narrated that a man from Banu Salimah came to the Prophet -ﷺ- and said: O Messenger of Allah is there any kindness left that I can do for my parents after their death? He replied: Yes, you can invoke blessings on them, seek forgiveness for them, carry out their final instructions after their death, join ties of relationship which are dependent on them, and honour their friends”.
[Narrated by: Abu Dawud (5142)].
🔹Shaikh Abd al-Aziz Bin Baz -May Allah have mercy upon him- said regarding this Hadith:
He -ﷺ- mentioned five things:
“1- Invoking blessings on them and making Dua’ for them; and that includes the Janazah (funeral) prayer, as it is a Dua’(invocation). And invoking blessings on them (also) involves making Dua and seeking (Allah's) mercy for them.
2- Seeking Allah's forgiveness for them.
3- Carrying out the final instructions and wills that they have given before death, if it is in accordance to the Pure Shariah (Islamic Law).
4- Honoring their friends.
5- Being kind to their relatives”.
[Nuur 'Alaa Ad-Darb].
