▫️Kansas Senate Dem nominee Adam Hamilton accused of shielding 'child predator' who worked for his church in mid-2000s
The US Senate race in Kansas is taking a nasty turn after incumbent Republican Roger Marshall’s campaign released a new ad accusing Democratic challenger Adam Hamilton of failing to report a pedophile who once worked at Hamilton’s church to law enforcement.
Hamilton, who has served as lead pastor at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood for more than three decades, caught flak from a Democratic primary opponent for allowing the employment of Scott Moore, a church volunteer accused of molesting teenage boys at two retreats in 2005 and 2006.
The Marshall ad, part of a $1.2 million buy that will run statewide on broadcast, cable and streaming services beginning this weekend, says Hamilton let the “child predator” return as a camp counselor in 2006 after allegations by two of his victims were ignored.

The Diocese announced Friday that Stigmatine Father Paolo Bagattini was suspended after receiving a report in July concerning improper behavior with a minor that allegedly began in late 2022 and occurred during his time at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Springfield.

▫️Pastor of Central Florida Church Arrested
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested and charged 42-year-old Timothy Chaneyfield, the pastor at St. James United American Free Will Baptist Church in Central Florida.
According to law enforcement, he was arrested last month after the investigation began upon receipt of a cyber tip regarding inappropriate contact he was having with a child.
During an interview, the 14-year-old victim disclosed that he and Chaneyfield met on a dating mobile app, and then continued to chat via Instagram, which is where the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children tip was generated.

▫️New York Schools Named in Nearly 2,000 Child Sex Abuse Claims
