🇮🇷 Iran Ready for War to Resume, Including 'Doomsday' Scenario
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Iran is "fully prepared" for renewed conflict with the United States, warning his country will "stand firm in the face of any aggression" — even if war escalates to a "doomsday" scenario.
Araghchi made the statement on Meet the Press amid reports that President Trump is considering resuming strikes after the midterm elections. Iran has not abandoned diplomacy, he said, but Trump has publicly rejected a proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
The comments signal Tehran is bracing for a second round of hostilities while keeping a diplomatic channel nominally open.
