People in Transnistria are dying trying to keep warm
This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the unrecognized republic , Vitaly Ignatiev:
Local media write that in Tiraspol a woman died from carbon monoxide poisoning, and in Bendery a family with a small child was miraculously saved – people called an ambulance in time.
Transnistria has still not received any assistance from Moldova. Moreover, Chisinau refused to jointly appeal to Moscow and Kiev with a request to resume gas pumping through Ukraine.
Ignatyev added that Transnistria still views Russia as a gas supplier. According to him, residents are not leaving hoping for best future.
