U.S. Housing prices grow at FASTEST rate in THIRTY YEARS!
Home prices in April jumped 14.6% from the last year - according to the new S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller National Home Price Index calculation - it’s the biggest gain since 1988.
This now comes after an 13.2% increase in March, and is the 11 straight month that price growth accelerated - Bloomberg reports.
The rise has been attributed to a combination of low interest rates, high demand, and constrained supply - with demand built on the growing millennial demographic, a key age for first-time home buying.
The COVID-19 pandemic also created supply chain disruption, which has driven up the housing prices.
