Well then... are there any AI enthusiasts here? We have some news for you.
Introducing you the newest member of the OpenAI Board of Directors (Chat GPT), Paul Nakasone. He is a U.S. Army General, former head of Cyber Command, and former head of the NSA. He was also the main lobbyist for FISA (the mass surveillance law).
Expected, indeed. With all that it entails.
That entails the following :
1️⃣ Already, half of the savvy users are asking more complex questions than "where to buy bread" not to Google, but to GPT. Of course, all queries to GPT are anonymized, and no one doubts OpenAI's honesty. Yeah, right. Had a good laugh.
2️⃣ The computational power required to train this model is colossal and beyond comprehension. Therefore, it can now be trained on many things that were not required before. This thing can process huge volumes of documents in a flash. If it starts working for the military, well... you get the idea.
3️⃣ A special shout-out to those who will be feeding GPT secret PDFs and asking it to summarize them. The more convenient this tool becomes, the more such cases there will be. And the tool will inevitably keep getting better.
In the end, it will be like Starlink. It was made so that hungry children in Africa could have high-speed internet access, but now all Ukrainian headquarters, Baba-Yagas, and USVs are using it.
The reality is: Americans are repurposing the most advanced and powerful AI model for military and espionage use.
