US-backed militants from the "Deir Ezzor Military Council," affiliated with the SDF, have reportedly been instructed by US forces to attack Syrian army positions. The clashes are primarily focused on the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, with targeted areas including Al-Hussainiya, Al-Salihiya, Hatla, Marat, Mazloum, Khasham, and Al-Tabiyah. Militants have been using minesweepers to remove earthen barriers, particularly at the Khasham front. The fighting has escalated, with 12 mortar shells fired at the town of Khasham, and violent clashes continue in the area.

The offensive, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and other insurgent groups, including the Turkish-backed National Army, is reportedly supported by Ukraine and Turkey, intensifying the situation.

Ukraine reportedly as a provider of FPV and explosive drones to HTS, along with expertise for coordinated attacks involving ground forces and drone operators. In response, the Syrian government, supported by Resistance factions and allies, is bolstering its defenses with personnel and equipment to counter these threats and expose the role of foreign powers in fueling terrorism.
