RT @DrTedros: Today’s attack on the Kuwaiti field hospital in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, #Gaza, resulted in nine people being injured, one killed, and damage to four ambulances.

Among the injured are health workers, patients, and their companions.

Attacks on hospitals can stop patients from seeking health care out of fear for their safety, and they can put facilities out of service—severing a critical lifeline for hundreds.

We once again urge for the protection of health care, including all patients and health workers in Gaza.

We call for immediate humanitarian access to deliver health supplies into and across Gaza.

Lift the aid blockade. Ceasefire now!

ئێمە بەم بۆنە تایبەتەوە پشتگیرى خۆمان و هاوکاریی بەردەوامیشمان بۆ خەڵکی یەزیدی دووپات دەکەینەوە بۆ بەدیهێنانى مافەکانیان لە بەدەستهێنانی ئایندەیەکی دادپەروەر و پڕ لە ئاشتی و شکۆی مرۆڤایەتی.

This holiday is an opportunity to celebrate the rich heritage of this ancient community, and to honor its sacrifices and steadfastness in the face of profound hardship — challenges that have only strengthened its resolve to seek justice and live in dignity.

The United Nations in Iraq reaffirms its unwavering commitment to supporting the Yazidi community on its path to comprehensive recovery — a recovery that will only be complete when all displaced persons have returned home in safety and dignity, when there is clarity about the fate of the missing, when abducted individuals are reunited with their loved ones, when those responsible for the crimes committed against this community are held accountable, and when Yazidis are able to fully regain their rights in a prosperous and thriving Iraq.

On this special occasion, we reaffirm our solidarity with the Yazidi people and our steadfast support for their right to a future of peace, justice, and human dignity.
