◾️Verily you will find in the houses one whose hair has become grey and he is not able to perform tashahhud properly◾️
By our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - may Allāh preserve him -

On the authority of Ibn Abbās that he said: "The Prophet ﷺ used to teach us the tashahhud like he would teach us a surah of the Qurān, he used to say:
"At-Tahiyyāt Ul-Mubārakāt, As-Salawāt Ut-Tayyibāt lillāh, As-Salāmu Alayka Ayyuhan-Nabiyu wa Rahmatullāhi wa Barakātuhu, As-Salāmu Alaynā wa 'Ala 'Ibādillāhis-Sālihīn, Ash-hadu an La Ilāha Illullāh wa Ash-hadu annā Muhammadan Rasūlullāh."

🎙"The point of benefit is that both their speech is informing that he taught it as he taught a surah of the Quran, points towards the importance of learning the pillars and obligations of the salāh, and that a person teaches his children, for verily you will find in the houses one whose hair has become grey and he is not able to perform tashahhud properly, nor a wording from its (various) wordings, and the others hair has become grey and he is not able to read anything from the Quran; rather he makes mistakes in Al-Fātihah, and this because of lack of teaching from the family, otherwise if a person were to sit with his mother and teach her what Allāh made easy and hear her recite, teach her tashahhud, and the salutations on the Prophet ﷺ, and the supplication after it, and teach her Al-Fātihah if she makes mistakes in it, and teach her some surahs, numerous from the surahs of juz' amma, and teach her the adhkār, the important adhkār, adhkār of sleeping and awakening, morning and evening, entering and leaving, and other than that from the important ones, and like so a person does with his children, if non other than him takes up the task with the likes of that it is obligatory upon him to take it up, so the people can learn and he teaches them like the Prophet ﷺ taught the sahābah, so he teaches individually or collectively, sometimes he teaches collectively and sometimes they learn from him individually, so he is the teacher any how, in a state of a person being alone he teaches him, and in a state of them being together he teaches them,...... "
