◾From the explanation of Sahih Al-Bukhari, 42nd Lesson◾️

*So let not one of you spit facing the Qiblah*

On the authority of Anas bin Mālik that the Prophet ﷺ saw phlegm on the Qiblah, so it became difficult upon him until it was seen in his face, so he stood up and scraped it off using something with his hand, so he said: "Verily if one of you stands in Salāh, he is having a private talk with his Lord, or verily his Lord is between him and the Qiblah, so let not one of you spit facing the Qiblah, but rather to the left or under his foot", then he took the corner of his shawl and spat in it and rub it together and said: "Or he does like this."

Shaykh Yahya, may Allāh preserve him, said:

"And the Nafath (blowing with slight spittle):
If he spits he leans to his left a bit, then spits, he doesn't spit facing the Qiblah, even if you spit in a tissue, what is more preferred is that you take a tissue and direct (to the left) a bit a then spit in it, or wipe your mouth with it for example, so that you don't resemble those who spit facing the Qiblah, regardless being that it is in a tissue, this is what is more preferred due to the generality of the evidence..."

▪️Benefit: Whoever diverts away from the madhab of the Sahābah and Tābi'īn to what opposes it, they are mistaken, innovators.

Allāh said:

"and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him."

▪️Benefit:

The way of the Salaf is safer, more knowledgeable and wiser.

▪️Benefit: From the distortions of the sufis to the legislated texts and its meanings, is (like) their statement concerning the hadith: "Do not leave a raised grave except that you level it", it's correct meaning is leveling the raised grave to the ground, but they say leveling means rebuilding and beautifying, and this is a call to innovation and shirk.

▪️Benefit: Imām Shāfi'ē may Allah have mercy on him said: "Everything that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ ruled with, is what he understood from the Qurān.

▪️Benefit: The best way to interpreting the Noble Qurān: Is by the Qurān and the Sunnah, and the statements of the Sahābah and the Tābi'īn like Mujāhid and his likes, and by the Arabic language.

▪️Benefit: Interpretation using merely opinion is blameworthy, and what's intended with opinion is: pure opinion which doesn't stem from any ijtihād, and it is from the major sins because this is speaking about Allāh with no knowledge.

▪️Benefit: It is established from Abū Bakr As-Sadīq may Allāh be pleased with him that he said: "Which earth will contain me and which sky will cover me if I say about the book of Allāh that which I do not know."

[Reported by Ibn Jarīr and Ibn 'Abdil-Barr in Jāmi' Bayyān Al-'Ilm wa Fadhlihi]

▪️Benefit: Shaikh ul-Islām mentioned many samples about the war' of the Salaf in tafsir ul-Qurān, he mentioned about Abū Bakr and 'Umar and Ibn Abbās may Allāh be pleased with them and Sa'īd bin Al-Musayyib and their likes which points towards their severe war' in this topic.

▪️Benefit: Hadith Abī Hurairah may Allāh be pleased with him is Marfū '(to the Prophet): "Whoever is asked about a knowledge and he conceals it, will be bridled on the day of judgment with a bridle of fire."

[Reported by Abū Dāwūd and Tirmidhī and Ibn Mājah and Ahmed and other than them and it is authentic]

▪️Benefit: Ibn Abbās, may Allāh be pleased with them, said: "Tafsir is on four types:

1 - The angle which is known by the Arabs, by way of their language.
2 - And tafsīr which no-one is excused of not knowing it.
3 - And tafsīr which is known to the scholars.
4 - And tafsīr that none knows except Allāh."

▪️Attention: From the tafsīr of the Shi'ah is their statement concerning the statement of Allāh:

(وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ)

"and to every people there is a guide."

That it is Alī.

▪️Attention: And from their tafsir at the statement:

(وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ)

"and the keen ear (person) may (hear and) understand it."

They said your ears O Alī and the hadith in this are feeble and weak.

And Shaikh ul-Islām mentioned types of strange tafsīrs of the Rāfidhah which they have no reference for.

▪️Benefit: Some of the people of knowledge reported that the statements of those that explained the Qur'ān, mentioned concerning the Rūh (soul) reached 118 and this is from the needless inquisitiveness because Allāh has kept this knowledge with Him.

▪️Benefit: Whenever the tābi'ūn differ then the statement of some of them is not a proof on the others.

▪️Benefit: Those who took from the people of the book from the Sahābah are a few, from them Abdullāh bin Amr bin Al-'Aās, as for the tābi'ūn then they are many, and one who it was well-known for taking from the people of the book is Ka'b Al-Ahbār and Wahb bin Al-Munabbih and Muhammad bin Al-Ishāq specifically in regards to the battles.

▪️Benefit: Shaykh ul-Islām and a group of others, when they say there is no origin for this, they mean no chain of narration for it, and there are others that use this statement when the chain of narration is weak.

▪️Benefit: Shaykh ul-Islām mentioned that knowing history and what happened (in the past) is a foundation which many issues are known by way of it, in regards to the narrators of hadith, and in tafsīr (of the Qurān) and in fiqh. He said that this is a foundation which is a must to be known for indeed it is a beneficial foundation in concluding a lot of transmissions in hadith and tafsīr and battles.

↪️ The two Sahihs have been met with acceptance by consensus of the ummah except a few hadiths which have been criticised, then these criticized are not put aside but merely regarding the angle of a hadithi approach.

▪️Benefit: The majority of the people of knowledge from all sects are on the opinion that if a narration with a single narrator has been met by acceptance by the ummah in affirmation to it or acting by it then it accounts as knowledge. And the early ones from the people of hadith are on the opinion that the narration of a single narrator if he is trustworthy then it accounts as knowledge and not mere doubt, as for the statement that it accounts as doubt then most of the ones that said that are the Mu'tazilah and Ashā'irah.

▪️Benefit: Shaykh ul-Islām mentioned that the defect of a hadith is due to an apparent cause. Then he made an example with the hadith of Ibn Abbās that the Prophet ﷺ married Maimunah while he was in the state of Ihrām.

▪️Benefit: The hadith of the virtue of Salāh on the day of Aāshura (Whoever prays two raka'ats will have the reward of such and such of the Prophets). Ibn Al-Jawzi said in Al-Mawdhu'āt this is fabricated and the one accused of lying is Al-Hussein bin Wāqid Al-Juzaqāni. Ibn ul-Qayyim said: "And it is as if this filthy liar who concocted it, didn't know that if other than the Prophet prayed the entire life span of Nūh, he would not be given the reward of one Prophet."

▪️Benefit: The twelvers: Gathered what is with the Mu'tazilah and increased upon it, so every twelver is a Mu'tazili and not every Mu'tazili is a twelver.

▪️Benefit: How plenty are the sects of the Rāfidhah, for they are more than 100 sects.

▪️Benefit: Shaykh ul-Islām mentioned that the people of innovation carry the meanings of the Qurān upon their views and beliefs and they have no predecessor from the Sahābah or those that followed them in goodness (the Tabi'ūn),and those from amongst them who are articulate, and have eloquent speech, they cast innovation into their speech like Zamakhshari in Al-Kashāf.

▪️Benefit: Most of the scholars of language were not free from mistakes in aqeedah (creed), and it is authentically narrated from Ibrāhīm bin Ishāq Al-Harbī that he said the people of the Arabic language from the people of Basrah are from the people of desires except four, and they were people of the Sunnah; Abū 'Amr bin Al-'Alā, Al-Khalīl bin Ahmed, and Yūnus bin Habīb and Al-Asma'ī.

◾Benefits from the introduction of Usūl ut-Tafsīr◾️

By our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - may Allāh preserve him -
⤵️
🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸

Benefits from the introduction of Usūl ut-Tafsīr by Taqi ud-Dīn Abul-Abbās Ahmed bin Abdil-Halīm bin Abdis-Salām bin Abdillāh bin Abil-Qāsim bin Muhammad Ibn Taymiyyah al-Harrāni al-Hanbalī Ad-Dimashqī (died: 728H)

▪️Benefit: Our Shaykh Yahya may Allāh preserve him said: "We view that ascribing to Ash-Shāfi'ē or other than him was not present in the time of the salaf (pious predecessors), rather ascription is to the Book of Allāh ﷻ and the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ."

And our Shaykh said: "Verily I am amazed at those who summarize Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr, because it itself is originally summarized. Because he gathered within it numerous sciences and that some of the hadiths which some people would think are weak are (in actual fact) suitable with supporting narrations in their chapters. And this is injustice to Ibn Kathīr and squandering his efforts.

▪️ Benefit: Ibn Kathīr, may Allāh have mercy on him, is from amongst the explainers of (Sahīh) Bukhāri except that his explanation, which is present now, is not complete and what is present from it is good."

▪️Benefit:
Shaykh ul-Islām mentioned that the differing between the scholars could be due to numerous matters:

1 - Due to the evidence being obscured (to them).
2 - having been distracted from it.
3 - Not hearing of it.
4 - Due to a mistake in the understanding of the evidence.
5 - Believing something else to be more correct.

Some of the people of knowledge mentioned that much of the differing between Abī Hanīfah and the people of knowledge is due to the weakness of Abī Hanīfah in the knowledge of hadith, so perhaps he would say a statement with based upon his opinion and someone would come and refute his statement with evidence.

▪️Benefit: The obscured (unknown) things are of different types in the Qurān:

1 - What Allāh has kept with Him in His knowledge like the hour, and it is not allowed to ask about these obscured matters, and these obscured matters have signs.

2 - What Allāh kept obscured in a place and explained it in another like His statement:

(اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ ۝ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمَْ)

"Guide us to the Straight Way, The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace."

Allāh clarified the ones He bestowed His favor upon with His statement:

(وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم)

"And whoso obeys Allāh and the Messenger, then they will be in the company of those on whom Allāh has bestowed His Grace."

3 - What Allāh kept obscured as a covering for the person like His statement:

(وَالَّذِي قَالَ لِوَالِدَيْهِ أُفٍّ لَّكُمَا)

"And the one who said to his parents: "Uff upon you both!"

And searching who this is regarding is not befitting.

4 - What Allāh kept obscured due to its magnitude like his statement ﷺ:

"In it is what no eye has seen and no ear has heard."

And this is to be believed in.

5 - What was kept obscured due to there not being any benefit in mentioning it, like not mentioning the colour of the dog of the people of the Kahf, and the part that the cow was struck with, and likeso is the boat of Nūh from what type of wood it was and the name of boy who was killed by Khadhr and the tree which is in the blessed place of what type, these such things and having ignorance in them is not harmful and if a person was to come to know of them by way of evidence then this is a good affair.

◾Miscellaneous benefits◾️

By our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - may Allāh preserve him -
⤵️
🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸

Benefit: The greatest expiator of sins is Tawhīd.

Benefit: The smallest of expiations of sins is by removing a harm from the pathways.

Benefit: The woman who quenched the thirst of a dog, this was a cause and a means for her forgiveness and guidance, Allāh granted her success to a righteous action.

And a disobedient person could do a righteous action and it could be a means and a cause for his guidance.

Benefit: Ibn 'Abdil-Barr, may Allāh have mercy on him, said: "Everyone who innovates in this religion then he is from those that are expelled." [meaning from the Hawdh (fountain of the Prophet ﷺ)]

Shaykh Yahya, may Allāh preserve him, said: "This benefit is to be memorised."

Benefit: Intentionally repeating the Fātihah in Salāh nullifies the Salāh, and if he was to have wiswās (from the Shaytān in doing so) then there is nothing upon him.

Benefit: The people of Jannah will see their mothers, and other than them, from the believers.

Benefit: Drinking water in the circles of knowledge is not considered bad manners, there is nothing preventing this.

Benefit: Frankincense helps in (strengthening) memory but if (consumed) in abundance it could lead to leprosy.

Benefit: Our Shaykh Yahya, may Allāh preserve him, sees the correct opinion to be that the Hawdh (fountain) is one fountain for all nations and that the hadiths which mention that all Prophets have a Hawdh are not free from weakness.

Benefit: The one who has memorised the most of the Qurān and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ leads (in Salāh) whether they be residents or travellers and if he is disabled in the leg then he is to pray sitting and those praying behind to stand.

Benefit: Dhikr is not considered dhikr except by moving the lips, and likewise (reading) the Qurān, and also the one who prays and doesn't move his lips, not in the Fātihah or other than it his Salāh is not accepted.

Benefit: Having an abortion if the soul has been blown into the fetus is considered murder.

Benefit: There is nothing equal to the companionship of the Messenger ﷺ.

Benefit: Suratul-Baqarah was called with this name due to the mention of the verse of the cow and likewise Suratul-Aāl-i-'Imrān and Al-Mā'idah and Al-An'ām and Al-A'rāf, and perhaps a Surah could have more than one name, and the surah with the most names is Al-Fātihah.

Benefit: Shaykh ul-Islām mentioned regarding Ibn Sīnā being an heretic.

Benefit: Repaying debts in the masjid is allowed as in the hadith of Ka'b: "Half O Ka'b..." - the hadith

Benefit: An-Nawawi has skill in (making) good summarisations.

Benefit: The fiqh of Bukhāri in his chaptering.

Benefit: The Prophet ﷺ seeking refuge is a matter of teaching his ummah because he is protected from the jinn and humans. For verily in the two Sahihs on the authority of Abū Hurairah that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Last night an 'Ifrīt from the Jinns came to me to disturb my prayer, but Allāh gave me the power to overcome him. I intended to tie him to one of the pillars of the masjid...." - the hadith.

And the Messenger ﷺ is not protected from annoyance as it comes in the story of the Jewish woman who put poison in the food but it didn't harm him and also the harm of the idolaters when they broke his tooth and cut his face on the day of Uhud, and in Makkah when they threw intestines on his back while he was prostrating ﷺ.

And Allāh knows best.

➖When the angels ask a person when he is being sat up in his grave➖

Who is your Lord? So he says:

"My Lord is Allāh";

So they will say to him what is your religion?" So he will say:

"My religion is Islām."

Then they will say to him who is this man who has been sent to you? So he will say:

"He is the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ."

So they will say what brought you to the knowledge of this?

Shaykh Yahya may Allāh preserve him said:

"Meaning from where did you gain this beneficial knowledge, and correct creed and concrete faith? So he will say:

"I read the Book of Allāh and so believed in it and affirmed its truthfulness."

This is the one who is upon clarity in his affair, this is the one upon steadfastness in his religion, this one is not shakey nor in doubt of the Book of Allāh, this is the one who magnifies the evidence, acts according to it."

◾️Nullifying the statement; The way of the Salaf is safer, and the way of the khalaf is more knowledgeable and wiser◾️

By our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - may Allāh preserve him -

⤵️
🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸

▪️And those from the Sahābah, may Allāh be pleased with them, who learned at an elderly age, learning knowledge was made easy for them, and they carried it for the ummah, and became the most knowledgeable of the ummah, because their knowledge had little self burden, great blessing and benefit, and a people came after them whose knowledge was a lot of over-burdening, little blessing and benefit.

▪️And from here; there are those from latter comers who perhaps belittled the early comers in regards to learning, and that 'they did not go in depth', and 'they did not elaborate' and 'they did not clarify', and 'they didn't do this..' until the end of their statements.

▪️And some speech came from them such as:

"The way of the Salaf is safer, and the way of the Khalaf is more knowledgeable and wiser."

And this statement is disgusting, i.e the statement "the way of the Khalaf...", in it is transcending over the salaf, and indeed Ibn Rajab, may Allāh have mercy on him, refuted this in a beneficial treatise 'The virtue of the knowledge of the Salaf over that of the Khalaf', and mentioned hadiths and narrations which benefit that the knowledge of the Salaf is safer and more knowledgeable and wiser, there is no branching out in it or trials, and if the latter comers do not tread this path; they will deviate, and also they will go to waste, as their (the Salaf) knowledge contains blessings, the Book and the Sunnah, and abundance of good manners, and knowledge and action, and good character and dealings (with the people).

"Nay, but it was your plotting by night and day"
[Saba:33]

I.e short sittings?, long sittings, long sittings to misguide the people.

Allāh clarified it in his statement:

(بَلْ مَكْرُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ)

"Nay, but it was your plotting by night and day"
[Saba:33]

So they hold sittings after sittings, and studies;
what are the ways to mislead them, to divert them, to humiliate them, to weaken them, until they leave the religion of their Lord!

Allāh said:

◾The people of knowledge unanimously agreed upon that the blind follower is not a scholar, meaning; in what he blind followed in◾️

Answered by our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - may Allāh preserve him -

📥Question:

A questioner asks about blind following?

📤Answer:

"Blindfollowing is following someone, who is not a proof without proof.
This is not allowed.

And what you witness from the speech of Ibnul-Qayyim in what was relayed by Ibn Abdil-Barr or other than him, that they (the people of knowledge) unanimously agreed upon that the blind follower is not a scholar, meaning; in what he blind followed in.

For indeed he could be a scholar in Grammar and then blind follow in a fiqhi issue, this doesn't mean that he is not called a scholar at all.

Or he could be a scholar in a field from amongst the different fields of knowledge and he blind followed in issue in a different subject; he is therefore not a scholar in that particular issue which he blind followed in.

As for that he is declared ignorant upon its totality; carrying the meaning on this manner is incorrect.

The consensus only came in regards to the issue that he blind followed in, so he is not a scholar therein, he blind followed someone else in it so he is not a scholar therein.

Meaning, if we, for example say:

That a scholar in fiqh, a Faqīh from the Fuqahā, blind followed in the authentication of a hadith of a scholar of Hadith, and relayed this authentication, and said: this statement was said by so-and-so without looking into his speech, without researching, without searching, he was not able to.

Is it said this person is ignorant upon its totality?

It is said: in this issue he is not a scholar, he blind followed another in his speech on this hadith, but he is a man of fiqh.
In this manner or am I wrong!

Because to nullify his knowledge in totality due to him having blindfollowed in some issues, is incorrect.

This is understood in regards to the fanatical blindfollower who does not go beyond:

so-and-so said, and it is the opinion of the madhab, and the likes thereof.

Blindfollowing is prohibited, and blindfollowing is following one who is not a proof without proof, and following one who is not proof without proof is not from knowledge; it is ignorance.

From this angle it is said: he is not a scholar, so if he was a blindfollower in all his affairs then he is not a scholar upon totality, and if he is seeking the truth in some affairs, blindfollowing in others, then the affairs which he blind followed in he is not a scholar in them."

Praying congregational prayers spaced meters apart is something newly introduced◾️

Answered by our Shaykh, the 'Allaamah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajoori -may Allaah preserve him-

📥Question:

The questioner says:

May Allah preserve you O Shaykh of ours.

In some Masājid they are placing between one person and another a distance of between a meter to two meters, what’s the ruling on this?

And should we pray the congregation in this manner or pray individually?

📤Answer:

All praise is to Allah, and peace and salutations upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

As for what’s after:

This method of lining up a row behind the Imām is a newly introduced affair.

In the Hadith it mentions:

“Whoever introduces something new into this affair of ours (i.e this religion) that’s not from it, will have it rejected”

This is not considered making a row; not legislatively, not by custom, and not linguistically.

Rows are to be like what’s mentioned in the verse:

(صَفًّا كَأَنَّهُمْ بُنْيَانٌ مَرْصُوصٌ)
"in rows as if they were a solid structure."
[As-Saff:4]

Similarly as what’s mentioned in the Hadith:

“Will you not form your rows as the angels form their rows before their Lord? They complete the rows in front of them and they stand close of one another in the line”

And if it’s the case that the forming of the row isn't legislative; then it will be each person standing behind the Imām individually; and it will be a prayer of an individual praying behind the Imām alone, and the prayer of he who is praying alone behind the Imām:

Was ordered by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to repeat the prayer, saying:

(اعد صلاتك لا صلاة لمنفرد خلف الصف)
“Repeat your prayer, there’s no prayer for the one standing alone in the row”

Which is a Hadith that’s authentic and similar to this is the statement of the Prophet ﷺ concerning the man who had fell short in regards to his prayer:

(ارجع فصل فإنك لم تصل)
“Go back and pray because you have not prayed”

The lack of validity of the prayer of a person praying alone behind the row, is the legal ruling given by a number of scholars, from them is the standing committee of major scholars (the Lajna Ad-Dāima) volume 8 page 7.

So, either they pray the congregational prayer in its correct legislated form, or a person prays alone and their prayer is correct, and they are excused in front of Allah in not praying the congregation prayer, if they were prevented from praying it upon its legislation form.

Innovation should not be justified for the people, and similarly affairs of trying to better things which are going against the evidences, to the extent that they put aside praying alone which its soundness is certain, to performing a prayer which it’s soundness isn't certain, let alone obtaining reward for praying in congregation.

📚Sahih Muslim - The Book of Salāh📚

🎙"The happiness of the enemy is in differing between loved ones, that's when his heart becomes cool and he is on cloud nine, and he awaits the opportunity for a time he can fulfill his purpose from this one and that one, and he could come in the form of having concern and being friendly to this one and that one, and he slips away to ignite fitnah and kindle it. Because of this, the determination is in reconciliation between disputants from the people of the truth, and hastening in that is the solution... and for this reason Ahlussunnah are keen on purification and distinction and unification of the ranks."

On the authority of Ibn Abbās that he said: "The Prophet ﷺ used to teach us the tashahhud like he would teach us a surah of the Qurān, he used to say:

"At-Tahiyyāt Ul-Mubārakāt, As-Salawāt Ut-Tayyibāt lillāh, As-Salāmu Alayka Ayyuhan-Nabiyu wa Rahmatullāhi wa Barakātuhu, As-Salāmu Alaynā wa 'Ala 'Ibādillāhis-Sālihīn, Ash-hadu an La Ilāha Illullāh wa Ash-hadu annā Muhammadan Rasūlullāh."

[Reported by Muslim]

🎙"The point of benefit is that both their speech is informing that he taught it as he taught a surah of the Quran, points towards the importance of learning the pillars and obligations of the salāh, and that a person teaches his children, for verily you will find in the houses one whose hair has become grey and he is not able to perform tashahhud properly, nor a wording from its (various) wordings, and the others hair has become grey and he is not able to read anything from the Quran; rather he makes mistakes in Al-Fātihah, and this because of lack of teaching from the family, otherwise if a person were to sit with his mother and teach her what Allāh made easy and hear her recite, teach her tashahhud, and the salutations on the Prophet ﷺ, and the supplication after it, and teach her Al-Fātihah if she makes mistakes in it, and teach her some surahs, numerous from the surahs of juz' amma, and teach her the adhkār, the important adhkār, adhkār of sleeping and awakening, morning and evening, entering and leaving, and other than that from the important ones, and like so a person does with his children, if non other than him takes up the task with the likes of that it is obligatory upon him to take it up, so the people can learn and he teaches them like the Prophet ﷺ taught the sahābah, so he teaches individually or collectively, sometimes he teaches collectively and sometimes they learn from him individually, so he is the teacher any how, in a state of a person being alone he teaches him, and in a state of them being together he teaches them,...... ◾The ruling on working in building an interest bank or surveillance over it◾️

Answered by our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - may Allāh preserve him -

📥Question:

The questioner says that he works in a company contracting work on banks, and in latter times his company works on branches of interest banks, and it works in regulating electricals, and decoration, and glassing in managerial and work offices, and this supervisor maintains the supervision on the bank, so what is the ruling on working in this company with this bank? And what is the ruling of the work of the supervisor?

📤Answer:

As for arranging places for interest banks whether it be buildings, electricals, or other than that from what is in the meaning of arranging and cooperating, and constructing; then verily this is not allowed, because it is from cooperating upon sin and transgression.

Whether his work in that is in building or in carpentry, or electricals, or surveillance, or engineering; he does not aid in building places of interest, and indeed the Prophet ﷺ said

"May Allāhs curse be upon the consumers of interest, and the entrusters of it, and in some pathways; and the writers of it and the witnesses of it".

And the meaning of that:
Is placing a barrier between cooperating upon the matters of interest. And the one who causes could sin like the sin of the one who does the action, the one who is a cause for evil with the evidence of the statement of the Prophet ﷺ

"Whoever calls to misguidance will bare the burden like the burden of the ones who follow him (in it)."

Meaning because he is the cause of the occurrence of these burdens and sins, and whoever leaves something for the sake of Allāh, Allāh will replace him with better than it,

"Verily you do not leave something (for the sake of Allāh) except Allah will replace it for you with something better than it."

And the earnings of a living are many from the permissible things, honorable, good, abundant, Allāh said:

(وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ¤ فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ)

"And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak."

So what is of this (kind) it is the joy that Allāh ﷻ will complete it in this life then it will be followed by the joy in the next life, Allāh said:

"Take, read my Record! Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account! So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. In a lofty Paradise, The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past!"

And we ask Allāh to grant us success to what he loves and is pleased with."

◾️It is incumbent upon the Muslims to give attention to this eid, displaying the ritual of this eid, and joy in it◾️

By our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - may Allāh preserve him -

⤵️
🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸▪️🔸

🎙"And the blessed eid is commencing in the forthcoming days, it is incumbent upon the Muslims to give attention to it, displaying joy in it, and not having expectations that perhaps they may fear of, upon things which the affair in it is to Allāh

"Say you (O Muhammad ﷺ): "Indeed the affair belongs wholly to Allah."

So they display this ritual, the ritual of eid."

And the Prophet ﷺ used to order the menstruating women, and the purdah-observing women to come out and witness the supplications of the Muslims and the good. As it comes in the hadeeth of Umm Atiyyah:

يأمر بإخراج العواتق، والحُيَّض، وذوات الخدور إلى صلاة العيد؛ يشهدن الخير ودعوة المسلمين، ويعتزل الحْيَّضْ المصلى

"He ordered us with the bringing out of the adolescent girls and the menstruating women and the purdah-observing women to the eid prayer, to witness the good and the supplications of the muslims, and the menstruating women stay away from the place of prayer."

[Reported by Bukhāri]

She doesn't pray but she sits listens to the speech of Allāh, the speech of His Messenger ﷺ, and she listens to the supplications of the Muslims, and she witnesses the good, so the ritual of worship is displayed, and she becomes joyful with the joy of the Muslims even if she doesn't pray.

And the point of benefit from that, is that it is incumbent that these rituals are implemented in times of ease and hardship, when there is no preventing factor which necessitates preventing from this, and there is nothing which necessitates it - and praise is to Allāh - The people are still in well-being, and likeso what happens from that is strength in Eēmān, every time a persons morale weakens, and his expectations diminish, the whisperings of Shaytān overcome him, and delusions overcome him, and weakness in morale overcomes him, he may even be afflicted with diminishing religious and worldly affairs.

Every time a person's morale strengthens upon the obedience of Allāh, for verily Allāh loves this.

"The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, but in all is good."

"O Yahya (John)! Hold fast the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]." And We gave him wisdom while yet a child."

Taking the affairs with determination is requested, as is in the evidences.

So the affair in that is flexible, that a person is joyful with the obedience of Allāh as is in the two Sahihs that the Prophet ﷺ said:

للصائم فرحتان يفرحهما: إذا أفطر فرح بفطره، وإذا لقى ربه فرح بصومه

"The fasting person experiences two joys, when he breaks his fast he is joyful at breaking it, and when he meets his Lord he is joyful with his fasting."

So being joyful with eid is legislated due to this hadith, joyfulness is legislated, it's limits are not to be exceeded; and from that (being joyful): Is being joyful with the displaying of this ritual and worship of Allāh with his remembrance and present blessings.

And being cautious concerning that from legislative oppositions, like being joyful with songs, and beautification by shaving the beard, and what is of legislative oppositions, and clothes which are not appropriate whether for the men or women, but rather the clothes of the Muslims and the clothes of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and his companions and what is from the legal clothing.

By our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - may Allaah preserve him -

Taken From his book:

▪️🔸 'Ahkaamul jumu'ah'🔸▪️

◾️🔸◾️🔸◾️🔸◾️🔸◾️🔸◾️

The chapter of: the virtue of jumu'ah and that Allah has specified it for this ummah (nation)

Narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but will be the foremost on the Day of Resurrection though the former nations were given the Holy Scriptures before us. And this was their day (Friday) which was made compulsory for them but they differed about it. So Allah gave us the guidance for it (Friday) and all the other people are behind us in this respect: the Jews' (holy day is) tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) and the Christians' is the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday)."

[Reported by Al-Bukhaari and muslim]

An-nawawi said:
"it means: we are the last in time and existence, and we will be precedent in virtue and in entering jannah" (i.e we will be the first)....

[...] it has been reported by Ibn abi haatim... clear cut that the day of jumu'ah was made obligatory upon them however they denied it and it's wording:
"Verily Allah has made it Al-jumu'ah obligatory upon the Jews but they rejected."

Al-haafidh said:
"And it is not surprising that they opposed as it has taken place (before) in the saying of Allah:

and enter the gate in prostration (or bowing with humility) and say: 'hittah' (Forgive us)
[Surat Al-Baqarah 58]

However they denied and said: "hintah" (wheat) and other than that.
And how can they not reject when they are the ones that say: "we hear and we disobey""

[Fathul baari]

I say (shaykh yahya):
So the book (the quraan) and the sunnah both indicate that banu israaeel were not submissive in everything Allah ordered with, And the hadeeth of the chapter is clear cut that the day of jumu'ah was made obligatory upon them however they differed in regards to it between those accepting it and those rejecting it, so Allah prohibited them from it and specified this nation with it may Allah give it success...

And from the evidences that indicate to the specification of this ummah with the day of jumu'ah is the hadeeth of Anas that we have mentioned (previously in the book) in the naming of this day by 'jumu'ah', And in the hadeeth jibreel said to the prophet ﷺ:

《This jumu'ah, Allah has made a eid for you and your nation, so you are before the Jews and the Christians.》

And we have mentioned previously that it is the only day Allah has mentioned in his book other than the rest of the days of the week in a complete soorah:

O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salat (prayer) on the day of Friday (Jumu'ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allah...
