Canterbury MP Rosie Duffield has quit the Labour Party, becoming the first MP to abandon ship since the general election. The 53-year-old took aim at Keir Starmer in her resignation letter, slamming him for accepting thousands of pounds in gifts.
Duffield stated her departure was due to Starmer’s insistence on clinging to a set of policies that are deeply unpopular with both voters and fellow MPs. She also didn’t mince her words, accusing the Prime Minister and his inner circle of 'sleaze, nepotism, and apparent avarice' that she described as being 'off the scale.'
Could Labour be on the verge of imploding from the inside?
