Get ready to set the world of public international law on fire with Telders Moot! ◽️
What is Telders International Law Moot Court? Telders is one of the oldest and the most prestigious public international law moot court competitions. Telders cases always concern intricate and unique international law issues combined with a complex yet thrilling factual matrix. The international finals are taking part in the Hague, the Netherlands with the grand opening and the finals held in the Peace Palace - the premises of the International Court of Justice.
KMA teams have consistently demonstrated outstanding results in Telders becoming national champions for several last consecutive years. In 2016, KMA team became an international champion, while in 2018 and 2019, the teams ranked second overall. In 2021, KMA team won the Best Memorial Award. This tradition must definitely continue!

Why international law?Public International Law deals with all the matters that concern interstate relations. So you can find yourself working with the issues of human rights, armed conflicts, environment, diplomatic law, investment and many more. Knowledge of PIL gives a comprehensive understanding of the international legal system and is of big value in future practice in numerous spheres.

⁃ Ability to commit 15-20 hours of work per week
⁃ Ability to attend in-person sessions - highly desired
⁃ Knowledge of PIL or previous mooting experience is a benefit but is not decisive

What is the selection process?The selection process will consist of written and oral stages.

The deadline for application is 13 October. The deadline for the written assignment is 20 October and the oral stage will be held on 21 October in KMA.
The written stage will involve the work with the case and writing the one-side arguments for one of the case issues.

Who are the coaches?This year’s team will be coached by
Volodymyr Hryshko and
Masha Stolbova.
Volodymyr is Telders and Jessup National Champion, 2nd overall as the team and top-20 speaker at Telders International Rounds. He is a Legal Counsel with the NGO specializing in international criminal and humanitarian law and a PhD student in public international law.
Masha is an experienced participant, coach, and judge for the PIL moot courts. Last year she judged the top-16 round of Jessup in Washington DC. She is the Chief Legal Counsel with the esports team, Jessup Ukraine National Administrator and lecturer of the Intro to Moot Courts at KMA.
