The train disappeared into a tunnel
In 1911, a special train designed for walking departed from the station in Rome. There were only 106 passengers on the trip. The train, gradually picking up speed, approached a long tunnel and when it went inside, it it didn't come out the other side. The train was never found - it simply disappeared without a trace.
