"- I congratulate everyone for the pressure that keeps the wheels turning in defense of democracy in Brazil. Giving up is not an option, and it is you who fuel a prosperous future for our country.
- In recent days, Brazilians have witnessed events that have shed even more light on the serious setbacks to freedom in Brazil.
- X was banned for questioning court decisions that not only required the removal of specific posts but also the permanent deletion of profiles. This is prior censorship, a practice prohibited by the Constitution and a serious violation of fundamental rights.
- Worse: by banning the country's largest social network, it was not a company that was punished but millions of Brazilians, deprived of free access to information and the right to express themselves.
- Shortly before, the same justice censored *Folha de S.Paulo*, preventing it from publishing an interview with Filipe Martins, an innocent man imprisoned for more than six months without trial under the allegation of having taken a trip that never happened.
- The same justice turned a trivial discussion about an airport line into an "attack on democracy," making a law-abiding family part of an investigation without any legal justification.
- Starlink was also arbitrarily punished, becoming a collateral victim in a legal dispute of which it was not a part. This undermines legal security and investor confidence. Brazil should be a safe harbor for investment and innovation, but it drives away investors and rejects innovative companies.
- All this unfolds as revelations from Glenn Greenwald, published in *Folha de S.Paulo*, show that these inquiries ignore due legal process, with pre-selection of targets based on their political opinions rather than their actions.
- When justice acts selectively, we are all at risk. When prior censorship is normalized, we lose our freedom. When freedom of expression and the press are threatened, Democracy cries out for help.
- God, Homeland, Family, and Freedom."
