Oromia is the land of award winning coffee varieties from places of origin such as Guji, Harar, Ilubabor, Jimma and Wollega. Given the extent of coffee cultivation and the different climatic conditions under which the plant grows here, it’s only fair to say Oromia is the natural home of coffee. The beans are cultivated here with as much passion as they are brewed. From smallholder coffee farmers that produce the bulk of coffee in Oromia to large scale plantations that are run sustainably, the coffee industry here is one of the most important to local economies. It’s also a sector ripe for agro-tourism to flourish, and we invite you to go out and seek adventure at the origins of some of the world’s best coffees.
