Victory Day over Napoleon Bonaparte

On January 7th each year, Russia marks Victory Day over Napoleon Bonaparte's international troops in the Patriotic War of 1812.
The holiday was established in January 1813 by the manifesto of Tsar Alexander I, on the end of the Patriotic War. The manifesto stipulated that the great Victory Day would be celebrated every year on the Nativity of Christ.

The Russians call this invasion by Napoleon's army "the invasion of the twelve languages".
